Have you seen the latest vid posted by Jackery ? they've got I think 4 solar panels plugged into a Jackery and a whole bands worth of instruments plugged into the Jackery then they play the instruments

The thing to be careful with using that for ham radio if any RFI that may come off your radios I once fried a UPS like that. IMHO I think just a simple deep cycle battery would be best for ham radio backup.

Helpful. What if I plug in a power strip carrying 4 plugs into one of the surge/ battery protect outlets in the unit. Will it provide power to those things in the event there's power failure?

Yup but you have to be careful not to overload the power strip but it works that way
