Fantastic - thanks for watching. We've a lot more wing and foil content coming from our team at our dedicated wing & foil shop / test centre. Thanks for the sub :)

Used my 3.5 and 4.5 2024 units now.. coming from the 2022. They just feel a bit smoother than the previous version to me. Great wings, and great service from Tony as normal.

Thanks for your review! Well done!
I've had my Duotone Unit DLAB 5.5 m for a few days now, and I'm really enjoying it. It's easy to ride and has a lot of power in the low end. I decided to go with the Unit because my new F-One Strike V3 5m doesn't have as much low end as my former V2 Strike.
The DLAB Unit is very predictable and makes it easy to do tacks and other tricks. It's like being on autopilot. The weight of the wing feels light in the bag, but it doesn't feel light in the hand.
Overall, I'm really impressed with the Unit DLAB.

What was your low end on your Strike v3 5m, and what is your low end on your new Unit? I also have the new Strike 5m but need some decent wind to get it going, so I guess it would be more like a Unit 4 or 4.5m? Thinking of adding a 5.5 unit to improve low end of my quiver but want to avoid too much overlap.

@@strekke1986 After a few more rides I'm the opinion that the low end of the Unit vs V3 is huge. I don't really know what the V3 is for if the much smaller Unit has much more low end. The Unit 4 has much more low end than the V3 in 5m. Maybe the V3 works better with a bigger board. But for my -40L sinker it's unfortunately like a null low end. You will be happy with the U5,5.

Who would have guessed a simplistic wing would cost more than a board or a windsurf sail? With an expected life span of 2-3 years max. Thankfully speed and upwind performance aren't important factors for most of us. Is Duotone predicting a large demand for higher cost and quality wings? Would love to sit in their boardroom when they decide who their target market will be.

Thanks for watching. We've certainly seen costs increase in recent years. While on the face of it simple, there are certainly simpler and cheaper options on the market that do not perform anywhere near as well. As for a comparison to the price point of a board, entry level boards without the exotic materials are both small and simpler to manufacture which results in the lower price point. Ref wings; upwind performance and durability are most without doubt to of the most important factors for lots of intermeadiate riders. Speed is becoming a factor for a minority and we expect this to grow in time as the sport matures further still. Duotone and few brands now have a clear split in their products and the materials used with a distinct low and high end price points due to the materials used. Certainly more brands opting to add an Aluula option to their ranges. You've also on go to look at foils, masts and fuses to see just how far the pursuit of performance at a cost / price goes.
