Honestly, even if it is an 18 gauge stage prop (because they still make props out of steel) I would feel fine. Plastic would even work decent in this situation (think about bike helmets).
I’m crazy enough to let him hit a can on my head without a helmet. And if he takes out an eye, ‘least I’d have a cool story to go with it. 😂 But I mean.. Just think ‘bout how accurately he clipped the twig between Simon Cowell’s legs on AGT. I trust this French man.
ight so i got my new ringtone for the next.. uhh, forever. jacques whenever my girlfriend texts me now i will have you saying "good boy". its your fault, your audience is thirsty
Jacques: Why is my crowd always so thirsty? Also Jacques: *Good boy.* meanwhile his cute tushie never stops It is like Princes Bride Cary Elwes and Harrison Ford Indiana Jones blended up man crush! OMG
Apologies if this is a joke and I'm taking it too seriously. I'm not sure but I don't think he hits it at all that time, I would think maybe the vibration in the air from crack managed to push it enough to slide off although it is interesting that it came towards the whip so maybe not. Very interesting though!
Great show, Jacques: While I realize Ren fairs are a mis mash of loosely based eclectic time periods, it was interesting to see a pair of men's shoes of the Georgian period being worn.. My best to you always.
Just in case you're serious: Most (probably all) of the scheduled festival performers have a barebones script that they work their way through, allowing for audience interplay. The really experienced performers have seen it *all* and won't miss a beat. It's more a flow-through script than anything exact, but if you see any shows year after year, you'll get to know it as well. It can add to the enjoyment; I like watching new attendees wow at everything. Source: Attendee at Ohio Renaissance Festival for over 20 years at this point.
@@Aretemc ... thanks for all of that. I wasn't being serious in my comment, but I actually haven't been to any of the festivals. I have watched enough of these great Jacques ze Whipper YT and Instagram posts to get the sense that he and his fellow performers are experienced at balancing loose-limbed set pieces with improvisation whenever it is needed. Your wonderful description makes it sound as if it were a festive liturgy of the laughs, which sounds awesome.
@@Aretemc Watching the new attendees "wow" at everything...or watching the new attendees who actually kinda get one over on the performer. I'm a long-time Nor-Cal Faire-goer, and at the 2021 Faire, got to watch Broon constantly struggle to keep from cracking up at the feisty teen he'd picked out to be his assistant. And I've been there for a good many of his shows, and can't recall many if any where he corpsed that hard...
Hey dude, when I see your volg at first time, its so funny to me ,and i laugh so long time. I think that bring me something like energy or good thing to my life, especially your rap songs, its so cute. And you r so handsome when you silm to people.
@@kellysnover1852 Generally, yeah. Ren Faire performers do loosely the same broad strokes for their shows. It just changes based on how audience volunteers and the crowd react to things, especially if they get the particularly reluctant volunteer, or the crowd that knows them oh-so-well, and knows just how to play it. Or, y'know, if the performer has a wacky moment of breaking script, to do things like react to the weirdos who came to Faire dressed as Klingons (I've seen this multiple times, it almost never fails to get someone to break character a little to react).
This was fun lol yes it was a real bucket helm. It barely fit my head lol very tight. I could barely hear him too. I had ear plugs in
Happy Anniversary if I heard correctly! 🥳
@@EyelASHes333 thank you lol it was a fantastic day for it too.
Aw that's really cool that you got to experience that!!! I'm glad it was a fun day for you.
This is fantastic!!!! Looks like a blast 😂☺️
You both are true showman, bloody funny ones.

Some go into the corner to cry, Jacques goes into the corner to laugh! :´)

Assuming that’s a proper bucket helm and not a stage prop, I’d feel WAY more comfortable wearing that while he hits a can on my head

I think it's the fault of the pants 👀 and that whip crack...

You need to get into mediaeval/early modern reenactment. You'll find plenty to interest you there.
I wish there were captions for this like there are for his other videos, because it's hard to understand a lot of the commentary.
