it sounds a lot better in real life. You will love it. Just remove the DB killer. You can always put it back in less than a minute.

@@secretagentrandybeans5298 the R1 is an amazing bike but I dont like the leaning forward position of it. The naked bikes are upright and much more comfortable. Especially for long distances and commuting. The suspension on the R1s are very stiff, mostly for track like roads. Any bumps you really feel it.

I'm stuck between an mt-07, 390, 790 and now this 😢.
The difference between the 790 and the 890 is actually quite a lot. The 890R is more comparable to the 1290.
Does the bike still have standard headers and CAT? This is just a Slip On?
Just the slip on, if you de-cat it, it becomes way too loud. I heard a bike at the dealership that had the same SC Project and was de-cat and way way way too loud. And this is coming from someone that appreciates loud exhausts
Where did you get that tail tidy?
I installed this on my 2023 890 r, it looks and sounds so nice. I am not able to remove the dB killer, it won’t budge. Took the small screw out but am unable to pull it off. And, I’m pretty strong for a girl. Suggestions appreciated 🤷🏻♀️
tie a rope around the tip of a broomstick. Insert it into the exhaust from the opposite end (not the end where the DB killer is at). Whilst holding the exhaust, bang the broom stick on the floor (the end of the broomstick where there is no rope). Its the easiest way. Its quite tight and a little hard to get it out the first time. I hope my explanation was okay. If not, let me know and ill will try explaining it again.

Please keep making content on this bike lol, I work at a Ktm dealership and am looking to get this bike but they won’t let me test ride unless I’m ready to buy 🤦🏾♂️ im looking at doing a decat with a slip on and a Rottweiler performance Power plate for better intake noise/breathing and then I’ll tune it with a rapidbike autotuner, mostly gonna keep it stock looking besides tail tidy

If you're gonna get a slip-on with the decat definitely get one that has an optional DB killer so at least you have the option to mute it just a little. I've got the Arrow decat + Austin Racing 220mm slip-on and it's a little too loud for my liking and can be a little droning on longer rides. Just my experience tho, you might like it otherwise.

Yup, like illuminus orange. They sell them in pairs at motoproworks
I also got the Sc Project S1 for my 890 R and I also got the decat link pipe from SC Project and it's pretty loud and mean sounding. Do you think the removal of db killer will be worth it having in mind that I removed already the cat?
Not too sure it will make a difference. Worth a try though, its pretty quick to remove it and even quicker to put it back in. If you do remove it, use a broom stick from the opposite side, holding the slip on, bang the broom stick a little on the floor, it comes right off.

It came with the New Rage Cycles tail tidy. Its the piece that holds the main plate holder except I dont use the main plate holder. I drilled 2 holes on the number plate and attached to the holder of the plate holder.
