Aye you pulled the trigger! Xlx2 is definitely a tight squeeze but it's well worth it. That 800kv is finally getting the amps it deserves! Check out the 9700 mah smcs. They fit perfectly and will give you a ton of run time on the xlx2.

That is an excellent build! All looks quality, very solid. She seems to be running incredibly strong. Wheelies downhill and stuff. Just a monster. What gearing are you running? Are you happy with that gearing? Just curious. I’m gonna rebuild my Xmaxx with a motor / esc combo at some point this year, just trying to decide on which setup to go with.
Running mod 1.5 gears, 23t pinion and 30t spur. In my opinion if you have a transmitter that can reduce power to about 80%, then is males are really nice combo!

So I have an XLX2 esc and 1100kv motor in my xmaxx, and the other day I noticed that my esc falls into the batch of potentially bad ESCs. However I've been using mine since mid December and have had no issues. Should I still contact castle or since its working do I not need to do anything?
@@GoKaioken u say lol but I really want to see how it does lol from my understanding the motor will only pull what it needs from the esc but honestly I think it may burn it up under hard driving

Those are the exact batteries I started with when I first switched to SMC and yes they are a PERFECT fit
You shouldn't have to snip the on/off you should be able to pull from the xlx2 harness..just gotta pull them out and put back in
