- The Weekenders was a one-off comic television pilot starring Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, produced by Granada Television for Channel 4. Broadcast on Wednesday 17 June 1992 as part of a series of pilots entitled Bunch of Five, it was a surreal sitcom in which two friends, Jim and Bob visit a meat festival taking place in an open field. They are then chased by aliens who want the meat they have brought to feed their queen
I wish someone would remaster / upscale all these classics
One of my favorite R&M quality products, complete genius.
The guys in the red jumpers slowly attending the meat stall is truly brilliance. Vic and Bob are Masters of Surreal humor.
phil oakey was a regular fixture at meat festivals in yorkshire and the north east of england. he was mainly interested in quite highly seasoned meats.
Taped it on release and still have it somewhere. 100% my type of humor :'D
Top class, cheers for the upload
The very best Vic & Bob, of all time!

Priceless, been looking for this for ages, many thanks.
One of the greatest works of art ever committed to film ☝️

Philip Oakey looked very good in this programme.
Thank you for this. I'd forgotten how brilliantly funny this was. A shame there's no DVD and watching it on 4oD is a pain with it stopping constantly and the unskippable adverts, so thanks again for the upload!

The Alan Ladd Memorial Heel Bar 😂
"We've got to get them into that booth."
I like the fact that Vic Reeves plays a character called Jim in this.
