would probably be a few DB louder if the port wasn't choked. For example. Let's say the port is 10"x 15 high. 150in of port area/ 3.14 gives you 47" if it was a round port, so the port should be half that distance from a wall for optimum results , about 23 24" from the tailgate IMO..

This is pretty cool. Love seeing other bassheads ideas in real world applications. There's alot of room to grow with its current design as well which is cool and well keep you occupied. Ide seal the back two off with acrylic or plexi and spin the box around. Would have that clean punchy bass. Or could even just choke them off a bit and play with the porting size to sort of tune them back 2. Could also try taking that long port out the top instead of back to reflect off the ceiling like the top 2 subs. Might have to enforce the roof at bit to prevent loss but that's easy enough. Theres a bit of loss now in the back that you can hone in but overall this is pretty bad ass and a real cool build

I dont know if you have or have access to home audio but the small bookshelf speakers that have save a small 5 1/4" driver and a rear facing port the manufacturer will allways state that if you desire louder bass then to place the back of the speakers against a wall to drastically increase low end out put, the idea for optimal bass is to place the port within the diameter of the sub "speaker" against a wall. simply putting green it against the rear door of the sun you will getting better bass than if it were firing forward into the cab "front" or the car and same with an upward firing port because ut has the roof to load off of. hope this helps ya buddy. get saving and get yourself a decent amp and a decent sub and a cheap head unit and some ofc cable and get amongst this awesome community and epic hobby of ours and go enjoy yourself buddy its the best thing I've done and it will allways be there when you get into a ruff patch in life with either work, the missus drugs or family or whatever crap life tends to throw at you the audio scene is allways there for you bud and has got me through he'll and you know what man I'm gonna bung a couple oldsskool hardcore breakbeat jungle tunes on from say 19 92/94 and cleanse my soul and rattle the windows a little. it's refreshing is what it is man. seems pretty tame, no sleeves moving, minimal panel movement, outside panels move like 2 15's ported. "Outside of the box" are some of the comments.....more like major cancellation from 2 different loading points. parallel 6th order would be ripping metal already.

Very interesting .. I like the concept .. As the ones pointing up have the car roof as a loading wall of sorts and the ones facing back each having individual" loading chambers" ? So Is it still considered a 4th order counting each of the single loading chambers as 1 each the main chamber and the port ?

  • @likeclockwork64butbetter58

I'm not sure about his distance from the rear door though because you want to have at least port diameter distance

Looks cool but makes no sense to me as explained if it's described ss a bandpass. It looks like a 15 foot common chamber ported enclosure with a loading wall for the two rear subs, which begs the question how airspace and port area/length would be calculated. Looks very loud though.
