    This is the first person that I find a tutorial from where they actually show you step by step on how to pull the panels. Thank you! The hardest part of doing this is the fear of pulling out the panels and seeing some else do it gives me peace of mind when I do it myself. Thanks again !

    This car cam video was excellent for many reasons. First, the quality of the video and audio are very clear, no out-of-focus shots or garbled narrative. Secondly, the narrator gives constant and detailed instructions on every step right down to individual screws and clips, especially needed for that more difficult back camera routing step. The detailed comments on the fuse box step was also a great help. Every necessary step was well covered. Trying to install this device was initially intimidating and confusing, but after watching his video several times, I had confidence I could do the job myself and save the install cost-twice the price of the car cam unit itself-of a shop install. I don't usually comment on CZcams videos but this one was over the top professional. Great job!

    Than you for the help. I did not hard wire mine but I hooked the front and rear Viofo Pro Duo using your video. However that stage at 27:27 gives me PTSD now. I ended up using a long, thin bit of metal to hold the rubber and a piece of string to get my cable through and it had a chunky mini usb head too.

    So i followed this. I'm at the point where my car is halfway burned down. What's the next step? No really though thank you so much for this. Saved me couple hundred euros for installation. Honestly the hardest part for me was to get it through the rubber tube at the rear. I used a different dashcam and the wire was super stiff.

  • @OnwardandUpward86

    I used this to wire my rear cam as I am okay with using the cigarette lighter for the front. Well…kind of. I watched it first, then went and tried to wire it. I stupidly tried to route the cable through the smaller conduit before I realized my mistake an hour later. Out of frustration, I ripped the camera cable out and ended up ruining it (still hoping I didn’t damage the existing cables in the smaller conduit as I am not sure what they go to). I’m waiting for a new cable to be delivered so I can run it through the wider conduit 😅

    Hi, such a great video. Are you really sure, that mounting the camera directly in the front of the lenses does not affect their function? In Toyota service they do not want to fix the camera there, saying there would be problem...

    Why did you place a 10 amp on a 7.5 amp original fog light for the constant? Is that okay? Please explain. I've heard others say that you want to put less or equal but nothing more

      The 10 amp is for dashcam. The 7.5 stays with the fog light circuit.

    Aren't you not blocking the airbags @25.21? I am installing a cam soon on my RAV4 and people were suggesting to remove all plastic and route the wire behind the airbags or route it in the headliner.

      If it's the same as the corolla cross, I think it would line up along the side of the ceiling from around the C pillar all the way to the A pillar which he opened.

  • @BG-br7ob
    @BG-br7ob Před rokem +1

    I noticed you took extra care to route the front where dash cam to avoid the driver A-pillar air bag, but for the rear seat airbag you just tucked the rear dash cam wire inside the trim, potentially blocking this airbag.Will hiding the rear dash cam wire at the top rear seat panel have the chance to block said rear air bag in that area?

    • @FaRKle0079
      @FaRKle0079  Před rokem +1

      The rear camera wire runs parallel to where the rear curtain bag deploys, so it shouldn't be obstructing it at all. In front it would run across where the bag deploys, which is why I try to route it behind.

    Hey offtopic in terms of this video, but with your AP BBK kit on your M2, how obvious/annoying is the rattle with antirattle clips installed when street driving? And I guess in addition to that question, with you having SPL parts installed, how much NVH do those add to street driving?

    • @FaRKle0079
      @FaRKle0079  Před 2 lety

      There's no brake pad rattle on the street if the anti rattle clips are installed. The SPL parts really didn't really add any NVH. None from the LCA since those were both ball joints already on the OE arm. The tension strut ball joint added a subtle amount, but blends with the background.

    • @FaRKle0079
      @FaRKle0079  Před rokem +1

      Dashcams draw off of the 12V system, not the hybrid battery system, so it's the same as the non-hybrid. If you're not using parking mode there's not really much risk in hardwiring, and if you are, make sure you have something that will cut the camera off so it can't drain the 12V battery.

      Nope. I made sure the camera is clear of any frontal sensors of the vehicle (if you looked at the camera and sensors from outside the front of the vehicle you'd see it's below).
