Kane in 2003 was the best version. I feel like he was more evil than ever before. Kane being a babyface and more human was cool, but Kane being a monster will always be legendary.
I agree with you on that one. My comment especially got liked too. I saw that when Evolution were running like scalded dogs, Kane Chokeslammed Eric Bischoff through the stage and with that pissed-off look on his face as JR was selling it like crazy. Both he and Taker, as mentioned during the Attitude Era with the Ministry gimmick, they were *Ultra Rogue,* and it felt like they were like Goku and Vegeta in their respective *Ultra-Instinct and Ultra-Ego* forms at the same time.
Because he was more evil. I hate it when people say “oH he sHoulD hAVE nEvEr taKEn ofF tHe mASk” even tho that made him more menacing 💀

Kane in 03-04 was Cinema. Alotta folks loved him in the attitude era and I did too, but dude was a literal monster in 03. That theme song is one of my all time favorites too.
This was the perfect opportunity to make a world champion

It's about damn time, Ross. This was peak Ruthless Aggression Rogue Kane, with the Slow Chemical theme, after his brother, Undertaker's Ministry gimmick during the Attitude Era. Those guys were *SUPER Rogue* at the time, and I agree with you and Pav that it worked.

Kane was using Slow Chemical before being unmasked. I think he introduced Slow Chemical in 2002 but either way, he was already using it before unmasking.

2003 Kane was the Kane I grew up with. I remember everything from Kane taking his mask off, burning JR, electrifying Shane's testicles and just terrifying everyone.

Always said it, Kane was more scary to me than his quote on quote brother. Idk why, but his legendary theme music, his aura, his moveset, his promos, the way he'd be aggressive and being pure evil was mire scary to me as a kid than The Undertaker.
Undertaker was like a presence or a grim Reaper. He was more terrifying to me. Him back in 1997-1998. He was scary.

03 Kane and Kane's first run with the mask were genuinely scary when I was growing up. My friend didn't like Kane because he almost set RVD on fire.
Kane is my favorite wrestler ever. Predominantly from his debut up until the end of this psychotic run in late 03. His original run as the mute monster alongside Paul Bearer, feuding with the Undertaker is awesome.
My favorite runs of his are in 2000 when he returned with Paul Bearer after X Pac turned on him. He wasn't a chump anymore like he was in late 99, and that was solidified when he tombstoned Tori. Everything from that point until his heel turn (chokeslamming Undertaker through the ring) was great, especially him teaming with Undertaker and Rock against the McMahon Helmsley regime.
His run in 2001 starting with the royal rumble, where he dominated only to be the last man eliminated; him teaming with Undertaker as the BOD, and the feud with the Two Man Power Trip. Kane was at his physical peak at this point.
And Kane in 2003, just after unmasking. Everything in this video sums it up. They really dropped the ball with him after this short period, and Kane has never been the same since.

As much as 2003 Kane was a legit Monster i will always say that 1997 debut Kane is the best version Kane. I was there at Badd Blood first ever hell in a cell match. That debut will always be in my memories for as long as i lived. I'll never forget how my sister was gripping my arm and hiding behind me and my brother.

1997-1999 Kane will forever be my favorite simply due to Kane’s character primarily being based on his fear factor and there is no other version of Kane that tops that, despite him doing more evil acts in 2003. From the mask to the attire to the visible “burn marks” on his eyes through the mask, to the voice changer making his voice sound robotic. As his attire started to show more of his skin to go along with him becoming more comedic, his fear factor diminished for me. Even his original theme song I felt fit him more than Slow Chemical just cus I felt having someone singing in his song humanized him.

I still say to this day that 03 Kane deserved a championship run. He was more than qualified, he owned Monday Night Raw by destroying anybody whether he won or lost. But they didn't cause HHH had the run and the only protagonist that they had who overpowered Kane (matches wise) was Goldberg. Shawn Michaels didn't wanna be champion anymore (which I understood). But it's crazy, Kane had the segments, promos, and athletic advantages of a A+ superstar and they always treated him like a B+ tier
