How do you keep your hands strong when you work with them so much?
The work gives my hands a treatment at the same time. I make sure I use them holistically, symmetrically and give them time off too!
Id be afraid I'd fall asleep and tip over!
😂 it’s part of the treatment, being awake and aware so the body goes into a somatic state but not asleep. But I know what you mean! 🫠
Is there a reason this massage is done seated instead of laying on the table?
Sure. Many reasons really inc
* more access to more of the back
* to ensure they stay awake and therefore are aware of a somatic state felt at deep rest
* to use gravity to help the therapist release tension to the arms & shoulders
* to be able to release tension at the back of the head and scalp with rubbing action and other techniques only possible when the client is seated

Not sure how I would relax when sitting upright.
It’s a case of staying awake in order to acknowledge the somatic state achieved. Just like a meditation.
me encantan los masajes y todo lo q hace, me encantaria que me masajee a mi , pero me pregunto por quê? esta con ropa la mujer , acaso no es mas cômodo y gratificante el masaje sin ropa ..en fin las veces que me he hecho masajes con masajistas me saco toda la ropa ..asi se siente mejor la mano en contacto con uno en la piel, ojala me.pueda responder..señorita..Saludos 🇨🇱 de Chile
This style of Indian Head Massage is through clothing, which creates a wonderful soothing effect because there’s no friction produced that can hurt the skin. Cloth or extra towels used around the back, neck and shoulders works well to warm and reassure the body that it’s being protected and made secure.
