Saint Faustina Kowalska experienced numerous revelations and visions that are considered among the most important in the history of modern Catholic spirituality. Her mystical experiences had a profound impact on her life and ministry, transforming her into an apostle of Divine Mercy.
From an early age, Faustina experienced a deep connection with God, but the most famous and groundbreaking were her apparitions of Jesus Christ, which took place from 1931 onward. During these visions, Jesus conveyed specific messages to her, including on Divine Mercy and the need for conversion and prayer for sinners.
One of the key moments was Jesus' revelation in which he instructed Faustina to paint a picture of the Merciful Jesus with the inscription "Jesus, I trust in You." This image later became a symbol of Divine Mercy and a source of numerous graces for the faithful. Another important message was the establishment of the Feast of Divine Mercy, celebrated on the first Sunday after Easter, and the dictation of the prayer of the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
