I love how Aja walks into the ring with no fancy costume, just a T-shirt, but completely owns the scene with just her stare.
Awesome Kong has A LOT of respect for Aja. While she was in Japan Aja took her under her wing so too speak. Awesome is VERY fluent in Japanese and patented herself after Aja. Especially, with her spinning back hands that Aja was famous for doing. Especially, in a lot of bouts she had with Bull Nakano. Another female monster who dominated. Probably 3 of my favorite female wrestlers. They don't make them like that anymore folks.
Kong is half Japanese

In my Fire Pro Wrestling World matches, Awesome and Aja were a tag team called Queen Kongs, and were never defeated. It took them all but running out of worthwhile opponents to vacate the tag titles after one final defense, after which they split up undefeated.
Still waiting for the feud, and it's been more than a year now............

And for the record....I've been following this "sports entertainment" regionally and then nationally since the mid-1960s. This conversation was never about history or the "more powerful company", just the better female wrestlers. Try improving your reading comprehension.

I wish that the WWF/WWE had hired them both, as well as The Beautiful People, to their roster and had also made the Kongs be like a female version of A.P.A., added Chyna, Beth Phoenix, and Nia Jax to their team, and that would have been one hell of a feud.

You know what it was...I was there live...at the show they didn't have the large screen (what WWE would call the "Titan Tron") playing, so it was very hard at first to even tell who it was who was walking out. I really think the pop would have been bigger if they had been using the screen.

I used to be a big fan of Aja Kong but I feel her best days are behind her. At the age of 49 and 30 years in the ring she just looks slow - even compared to her best (she was never that mobile). I'm surprised they moved her out of the tag team situation since she does better stepping in for a couple minutes at a time then tagging out.
