Passion is something that you invest yourself in mentally or physically. They didn’t gave a f about them. It was convenient for them, thats why they like this period. some people slap mirrors on the walls trying to get the same effect, but I love how particular they were with them in this home.
I had to stop the video, I don't know, it's something so simple and common but they way they made was SO clever and elegant. Loved it.

I am so into nature and trees, so this kind of house is definitely on point! The assorted trees, surrounding the house and the house itself, both look so refreshing and it seems like a comfortable place to reside in, not to mention kick back and enjoying the nature. A phenomenal one!

“We see the flaws and what we could do better, we are critics of every structure” myself being a builder, I completely understand that! Every time I walk into a home or building I notice flaws or things that could be installed a better way.
I wish I had that quality. Unfortunately, depression makes it hard to care about anything and absolutely kills motivation.

This is my favorite house of all. The way it is set on the property that makes it light and airy is pure genius.

I love how the large windows allow the beautiful outside views in as part of the room decor. The rooms are very welcoming. I admire this couple working together to build their dream house.

I absolutely love architecture and people designing homes for themselves. My only gripe being a tradesman/tiler is the actual choice of materials and how they weather.
If you look closely the paint is flaking on the roof sides, the exterior has water damage or staining due to water/rain run off. Function is just as important as design.
Well, at least the paintings were done with automotive paint, so we know they'll last.
Maybe they should have consulted the artist for their exterior paint choice.

This is incredible. The living area, the bedroom, the deck, the walkway. I love it all. Couple things: didn’t realize in the beginning that the architects are a couple. Love that and love them. Also- wow this house has a lot of chairs! They could have quite the party! But please someone toss a pillow on some of those chairs outside. My back hurts just looking at it!
There are a lot of small, intentional touches that reflect a lot of thought and care. Things like the modest overhangs that are the perfect depth to frame the view without distracting from it. Much of it isn't really to my personal taste, but I can appreciate the quality of the thought that went into it.
They built an amazing space, what a talented pair!

Absolutely beautiful home. I have always wondered why more homes do not have their living spaces and kitchen on the higher levels. After all, you get more light and more views that way. This was executed brilliantly.

There's a house neer me just like this is was built in the late 60s it's so beautiful when the river behind it floods the house is still above water unlike the other houses near it

I would never have thought that a house I would see as a dream house would look like this house. Then at the end she explains why. The warmth. And the greenery. You don't even need a garden. Amazing!! So hospitable with privacy for everyone. The kitchen in the middle like the mess doesn't matter. It doesn't! Friendly. Casual, like when the enthusiastic conversation takes care of itself. As a guest, almost like being on a boat. It's wonderful.

Most endearing about this extraordinary home re/construction, is that the (genuinely wonderful) artistic owners are truth tellers. This couple lives creatively and unconventionally - but purposefully so. And this, whilst maintaining grace and integrity in the relationship with their uniquely maintained environment. F*****n outstanding.
Wow I love how lovely and serene this house is, but what I love even more is to hear the owners describe some more of the architectural design side: their considerations, sunlight, weight distribution, etc. This video definitely lives up to the Architectural Digest name of the magazine!

Ultimate privacy, seclusion and peace all in the middle of nature. As someone with minimal architecture expertise, I find properties like Frank Lloyd Wrights "Falling Water" as a true masterpiece.
I personally think that this a cheap insult to Fra k Lloyd Wrights Falling Water.
Only fuw can afford and it takes up a huge amount of land just for one house

She embarrassed him with the belt comment. Their relationship was almost as interesting as their home. Those mirrored panels were so simple in design but made a huge impact on the perception of space. I can't even imagine choosing a site and then designing a home around how I want to fit into the environment.
