Techies was just a troll hero. You can't say the same to a hero with such good spells like Oracle.
Techies still pisses me off. He's not this uber carry winning games but it's annoying as hell to lane against him when you CANT WALK ANYWHERE without getting blown to hell and you can't even kill him without getting blown to hell.

Something i noticed about his ultimate, there is an orb over the affected allied that seems to indicate whether if its receiving damage or heal at the end of the duration. A burning sun if its damage and green particles if its healing. Neat.
Edit: Also, the small moon orbiting around the hero indicates the duration of the spell, 2 entire laps, and then it blows.

I noticed that at the second time I saw it. Also the size of the particles seems to increase as the damage/heal are greatly stacked.
Dota2 design developers would probably marry you because you pointed that out.

Achmeron The hero has been in DotA 1. They are just adding it to DotA 2 now. There have been NO "new" heroes since DotA 1.
Changes to Oracle have been made since this video was released. This list will contain those changes (not including number changes, since they are very frequent)
Fortunes End: Can now be cast and affects allies. This will not root or damage them, but will purge debuffs off of them (including Fates Edict).
Fates Edit: No longer amplifies non-magical damage.
False Promise: No longer makes the target invisible.
Aghanim's Scepter: Can now be purchased on the hero. This will reduce the cooldown of Purifying flames from 2.25 to 1 second and cast time from 0.3 to 0.1.

I love the 1kmmr players that comment whenever a new hero comes and think its gonna break the game or something dumb. These are *ALREADY released* heroes, tested for ages! (For one out of the many reasons why bitching is dumb.)
Testing in Dota 1 was limited due to Warcraft 3 architecture, it wasn't easy to get statistics from games and as far as I know Oracle wasn't enabled in competitive tournaments in Dota1 either
I never got to play him, but I've read he is pretty OP, and I can see why. He will receive a nerf just like Earth Spirit did

nikos galatis i think that invis is like the slark ulti....invis in the send you cant hit the target..unless its AOE spells you can target the ground maybe....i feel people will who dont understand the spell will blame the person playing this hero for being a noob..etc etc, when its their fault for taking too much damage in the duration and dying at the end...but i feel this will be amazing with omniknight heal.

BBsealful It may not take as much quick reflexes as a clutch bkb or a blink ravage, but if there are alot more tactics involved than any other hero. Mind games and reading the other team are a big part of techis.
so Physical damage, AoE spells and detection and this fucker is lunch, i don't see why people making big deal about it...
because he doesnt need any items to be the most effective support ever.... physical damage? BAM you get dissarmed? Dot...AoE purge!... glass cannon? ulti him for 9 seconds that glass cannon cant die and will do all the damage he needs to do... and be healed an insane amount...

1 it's pub and nobody buys Heaven's hellberd, 2 i can buy bkb and orchid for him, 3 he'll take all the damage and a carry like PA should be able to do 3 or 4x a glass cannon like sniper's health bar in few seconds, still #notimpressed

don't forget that i have 4 other teammates as well, i don't know how he is played since i never played dota 1 but if i had to guess than i'd say that he isn't a hard carry, and using his spell on himself means his carry isn't invulnerable, guess we'll wait and see how it goes.

well his abilities are more of a support's abilities and pub supports won't take some one like that seriously and to be fair i'm 2.4k MMR so most of the players suck xD myself included if i don't get someone to babe set me.
Great to have another hero to work with. I think what will be most interesting is seeing him hit CD and letting the pros with their sic timing and combining skills use some of these very different abilities.
Can't wait to try him out!
I LOVE how this hero looks, both in viability and overall design. If his ultiis ulti sounds broken, it really isnt. Remember when he said invisible? Just use dust, gem, etc in team fights. Be does look like a pub stomping support howev-- oh God... Carry Oracle? XD

your attack speed modifies your BAT to get your attacks/sec
Rusbaraka Shurtaraba base attack time, it's the time each full attack animation would take if the hero had 0 agility and no buff/debuffs to attack speed (100% attack speed) then your new attack time is done by doing (BAT*100/attack speed) so if you have 200 attack speed (all heroes have 100 by default plus their agi) you will take half your BAT to make a full attack, in this case 0.7 seconds, it's a reduction in BAT that Alchemist ulti uses to make him attack quickly.
He really doesn't seem as broken as people fear. It's a squishy support with a fairly high skill cap to use effectively, one with only single target abilities, and mana issues early on. I bet he'll be among the least picked - especially with Phantom Assassin's arcana overshadowing him. He is perhaps a tiny bit imbalanced, but it's mostly just due to the cool down on his ultimate. I'm sure they'll increase it in the coming patches.
Near 900 hp dmg on enemies in 3 seconds The posibility to over heal your ally for 700hp in 3 seconds without dealing any dmg to him, the posibility to save anyone ass cleaning any buff making it invulnerable for sooo long and also granting invis, and also the possiblity to stop intantly enemy's carry for up to 6 seconds while taking extra dmg.
Davis Herrera Where are you getting this 900 damage on enemies thing from? Assuming a level 4 Fortune's End and a Level 4 Purifying flames, the damage comes out to 495 when taking magic resistance into account. The healing on a level 3 False Promise and a level 4 Purifying Flames is also 500. If you add a Mek it heals more, but still. The other things are true though, we'll see.
DerHund57 u cast purifying flames first then u insta cast fortune's end avoiding him to heal any hp, then 3 seconds later u cast purifying flames again that will be easy with the insane ms the hero hasso i made an aproximation of the three spells together but stills deals 765 dmg afterall. plus u dont need false promise to heal (too much cd and mana cost u know...) u only need lvl2 fate's edict and u can cast purifying flames twice on ally without dealing any dmg cuz it avoids it and u get exactly 792 hp heal in just 3 seconds to you or any ally or enemy :P.
***** i can't be more agree, this heroe will have a very low win rate at the first couple of months due to his hard comprehension, then it will be forgotten like many other heroes (phoenix, earth spirit, techies, etc...)
plus he is tied for the best BAT

I stopped playing Dota 1 before Oracle was released (yes that was years ago) and started with Dota 2 a few months ago.
What I ask myself is how does lifesteal work on targets in Oracle's ulti?
E.g.: Oracle is in a team with sniper, a Phantom Assassin with hotd jumps sniper and Oracle uses his ult on sniper. Does PA get the heal per hit or does she get it in the end of the spell duration aswell?
Doesn't seem that important but if PA is able to lifesteal she will survive the engagement more likely than if not.

At the end, and doubled, but the most important thing to note is you can cast the heal nuke several times during the duration and over all heal for about 400 each time, meaning with mek you could heal someone 1700 ish hp, forgetting lifesteal and other heals, like purification would heal 720 more and if you made the ally 100 magic resistant they won't even take the nukes you dealt to heal them resulting in like 2500 heal if done correctly (ofc they won't be able to attack though)
Nono, I meant PA is the enemy and jumps your ally sniper. You cast that on sniper to protect him. Provided they have vision and PA attacks sniper while he has the ulti on him does PA get lifesteal or not?
PA can still lifesteal on the spells duration (it doesn't affect her at all, but her damage is still delayed). Sniper with a lifesteal, the heal from it will be delayed and doubled. Be careful of Axe and Necro!!!

I think this hero is OP as fuck in pubs but these unreleased heroes are much more OP as fuck.
Abyssal Overlord - Ultimate skill is a freaking AoE boots of travel. RAT DOTO KING. Imagine defending a tower when all of a sudden, 5 heroes comes out of nowhere.
Winter Wyvern - Ultimate skill is an AoE Legion Commander ult but instead of dueling enemies, you fucking gangbang your own ally while the enemy team fucks you up.
Arc Warden - Ult is creating another him which can cast skills and items. Yes, items. You know how fucked up necro book is? Imagine two necro books or you know, get 380 gold for 1 midas or get zapped by two level 5 dagons or you get what I mean.
And don't get me started on their basic skills. They are broken as fuck.
They are all perfectly balanced heroes. And by the way, Wintern Wyvern, Arc Warden and Oracle were considered to be trash tier back in DotA 1.
Pit lord :The ulti is only castable on creeps. Kill the creeps fast and this will never happen.
Winter Wyvern: Aoe is around the same as black hole or less. So if its hard to land a good blackhole its just as hard to land that ulti

That's definitely happening. Techies came out, my mmr dropped by 400 from techies pickers. Steer clear of ranked matches for 1-2 weeks. The players that continue picking him after 2 weeks are ones that have probably practiced with him a fair bit.
+Anonymous i can only say this is right. The only techies i've seen afterwards were actually good ones, and the rare "MINE ALL THE RUNE SPOTS" techies. Second top character right now xD

I played dota 1 A LOT. I can honestly tell you that unless you are playing in the 2kmmr bracket, ANY competent Oracle is absolutely rediculous to fight. There is almost no way to lose as a decent oracle player. Hence why he was never ported to CM. The fact that you think he's balanced means either A. You play in the sub 2k bracket and have no clue what you are talking about, or B. you are trolling knowing full well how powerful and punishing he is and just rubbing your hands together like harcore CoD players when christmas comes. Either way, fuck you sir. fuck you right in the pooper.
Why are you guys assuming he will be identical to the dota 1 version? Every single hero has been changed and rebalanced in dota 2. They do extensive testing for this.

He is a good disabler and will be decent in early ganks. He doesn't have much survivability or harass so hard lanes out of bounds. If he goes mid he will be a semi-carry at best only if he gets fed. Due to his disables, he would make a great support to babysit the hard carry.

Aside from Abyssal/Pitlord the heroes that remain are far more recent DotA additions (WW is 6.73 and Zet is 6.78, both from ~2013), and I'm very sure as long as the DotA mod gets nigh-parallel updates with Dota 2 there will always be a hero to port over.

Pit Lord has been in dota 1 even before the allstars era - one of the oldest heroes in the game.
I read that Pitlord was created in 6.44, if that was true and not a fault by the D2wiki that would be after most of the heroes.

Simply, he has the reverse of a bkb, which may be strong against nukers but makes you chow for right clickers and just about any other dmg. His ulti has all that dmg come back onto you.
I will add that he is very team dependent and require a lot of skill and understanding of the situation from a player, his ult is not a dazzle's grave (btw does the dmg works as well as axe ult or will be blocked by grave?), and not a slark invis ither so gem, dasts and sentries are a must against it,his skills can mess up teammates very easily when are used wrong, so he is not op, but is very powerful in right hands, honestly wonna play him, but he will require a lot of practice...

this hero is living hell. why? not because he is powerful against our team. its because in sea server, there plenty of pinoys that LOVE using his 3rd skill on enemy heroes without using the first skill thus healing the enemy. and its spammable....
the enemy hero had unlimited heal. we kept telling these pinoys to stop what they are doing but they refuse to listen. one even said "but it deals initial damage". for fucks sake cant they read. IT HEALS MORE THAN IT DAMAGES unless u use the first skill of coz
Meh I am currently living in SEA and its really frustrating to play dota2 in general, people are always blaming each other and all they care about is their KD..... well I met some good people there but most of them are assholes. Im not saying that the other servers dont have assholes in them because when I travel to other countries and play on a server near them, I still encounter assholes, still I find that SEA server contains more assholes in general or maybe they lack nice dota players...
Yet I immediately learn and regret after doing such thing as I wanted to nuke instead of heal. Those few people you pointed at must have a shallow mind.
i personally don't like playing with my own countrymen, even going to the point of pretending to be some other nationality. but i try whatever i could to teach my fellow filipinos how not to be the russians of SEA server and i do it the nicest way that my personality could possibly allow. i just couldn't bear to see my own kind getting the kind of reputation we have in general right now.
and as for your experience with a pinoy oracle, i also faced one solo mid as tinker. i felt bad for the enemy team, especially for oracle. keeps on spamming his 3rd on me and i was literally comfortably free farming mid + getting kills from ganking teammates. i kept on telling him that he shouldnt heal me as a friendly teaching gesture. keeps on doing it anyway.

They cant right click during that time and take bonus 50% Physical and Pure damage. not so broken when you think about it. Omniknights repel is better in a way.

Azuos Lol no. Just cast it on the enemy carry and BAM! They get owned by your own carry. Cast it on an ally and heal them removing the damage from your heal. It also isn't magic immunity so other spells and heals can be used on them, which is good if it is on an ally.

For the love of Gods, if u dont know how to play him, practice with bots instead of instant pick him in pub/mmr and have no idea how to use him -_-
really nice skills. this hero sounds kinda complex but I think he won't be as hard as earth spirit who was released in the same map update back in dota(1)

As a support player, I I always use False Promise, then purifying flames. Of course, at the end of false promise, purifying flame's health regeneration doubles, plus if you have Mechanism, it will also double the healing effect of mechanism after false promise. Purifying Flames+ Mechanism = You survived my friend. My goal is to make sure that a low health member will survive.
The thing is to use that thing on your carry, so he will be invincible, and wipe out the entire enemy team...and then got sun dropped at him, lol.
Imagine his ult + shallow grave right before it ends on a hero like Huskar

He reminds me of the Prophets from the Halo franchise. That was the first thought that came to my mind when I saw him.
He even sounds like one of the voice actors for them from what I could hear of him in the end when he took out Sven.

You forgot to mention standard healing combo of Fate's Edict followed by Purifying Flames. At max levels, you can do two Purifying Flames heals per single Fate's Edict. Looking forward to this hero. Fucking love versatile support heroes.

I played this once in warcraft dota, pretty insane they added 3 seconds cooldown to his heal ability, i just hope invisibility is now like slark´s and can be remove with dust or gem.

I remember when oracle 1st came out in dota1. Almost every game oracle is picked.
I was hoping for a Pit Lord, but this is quite unexpected! Oracle is the 2nd hero to come from 6.78 along with Earth Spirit.
Oracle will be a great disarmer to physical carries, but only the physical damage allies will be able to attack that person. Oracle is simply the weaver of teamfights, he can alter the outcome of the fight at his own will.
I can say his ulti gives a huge spark of courage to dying teammates who is willing to die.
This hero is so odd, still looks like a very active role that is almost exclusively support and that is cool.
