I'm ethnically Jewish, and wasn't raised in the religion. I've been wanting to practice the culture to help feel closer to my Jewish identity, and I'm going to start with the tichel, so thank you for the video
I love that!! I’m so glad this video could help!!💕
Headscarfs looks good on you, especially the brown and white look.and you are beautiful
I’m new to wearing tichels and have watched this so many times to try and learn how to wrap properly 😂 thank you for this video!! ❤️❤️
Aww! I’m so happy it helped!!💕💕
You look beautiful in your hair covering. 😊
Dar fără cercei....
Вы , просто , само очарование.
Nice looks I'll definitely try the last one.
Thank you so much. It was very helpful.
Absolutely love it 😍
Thank you!! :)
Thank you, I’ve been buying pre-tied ones. I’m new to wearing these and didn’t think I could tie it right. You make this so easy to follow! This video is so helpful.
Thank you!! I’m so glad it could help☺️
I loved it!!!❤️
thank you!! :)
Shalom,this is just wonderful💖💖💖💖
Thank you!!💕
Look 4 😍
Very productive thank you 🙏
thank you!!
Thanks for sharing...very basics...lovies Yetta
Glad it was helpful!
On the last one I have the roughest time getting it to look right? How tight are you tying the knots? Mine always looks thin compared to the top of the scarf. It doesn't flow as one piece like yours does.
So the knots are pretty tight! Especially the first one that I tie, (the one under the bun) which helps it to keep from sliding off of the front of my head! Which part looks thin? The fabric covering the bun on the back?
Thanks for sharing 🌹👍👍
Welcome 😊
Thank you for the video, well done. Only suggestion would be to turn around so we can get a 360 view and see what it looks like from the back. 😊 The last one was my favourite.
Thanks so much!! I will definitely be sure to do that in future head scarf videos! Glad you enjoyed it 😊😊
what size should the square be to do the last two styles? .. thanks
I am ethnically Jewish and practice reform Judaism. I love my hair and feel that it is a huge part of my identity, but I would love to try wearing a tichel. I was thinking I could wear it while praying and on the high holy days, but not regularly. Is that okay? Also, is it okay if my bangs/small pieces of air are showing? I'm really insecure about my forehead :(
Traditionally it is only worn after marriage and worn all the time, however if you’re reform you can wear it how you like. Whatever makes you feel closer to hashem or closer to yourself and your identity. Wearing the tichel doesn’t have to be about modesty or being close to g-d it can also be about feeling beautiful and close to your culture.
I hope this helps🖤
You are really beautiful. Your eyes are more beautiful. GOD bless You ❤️
can i still wear a tichel even though im yoing? and im black and jewish i was wondering if i could wear it with 4b hair, and for the grip head band can i use any kind of headband or it has to be a grip one
you can still wear tichel even if you’re young. i think your hair would be perfect for wearing it, too. for headbands, having it be velvet is best bc it makes the scarf still in place. if the scarf and velvet did slipping or tugging your hair, you can always get a cap, too
@@julias.1137 okay thank you so much! this really helped me out
it's only pretty recently in Jewish history that headscarves have been reserved specifically for married women-- all women and girls used to wear them when they became of age :)
@@matildaoliver6838 okay thank youu and that makes alot of sense
You definitely can still wear tichel if you’re young and yes, tichel works for any hair texture! I like the velvet headband so that it doesn’t slide back!😊
maybe a weird question - can i wear these if I'm a former orthodox jew who defected years ago? I want to embrace my ethnic culture while still staying true to my secular/athiest beliefs. Would it be insensitive or contradictory to wear these styles if I'm not actively "jewish" and only "ethnically jewish"?
No culture has a monopoly on hair wrapping. Check out the Wrapunzel YT video on “cultural appropriation.” :)
Thank you for your question!! While I’m not a rebbitzen by any capacity, as far as I’ve seen and read, there is no problem with you wearing a headscarf :) hope this helped!
I'm not orthodox at all but I really want to wear a tichel so I've brought a nice peice of fabric to wear on holy days and on sabbath, I won't wear it for modest reasons but because I want to 'feel' More Jewish, is this OK? X
So, I’m am not a rebbitzen at any capacity, but as far as I have seen and read, it is okay to wear a headscarf! 😊
I'm with you girl. I'm not an Orthodox Jew or married, but I still want to wear one to embrace my jewish heritage and feel more jewish on a daily basis.
@@sws316 also good when your hair looks a sight aha x
Go for it! I’m not married but I wear a tichel :D
How is the quality for the TUK collections?
I really like they quality of their tichels! Doesn’t feel cheap!😊
@@DaniElle-py2ts I ordered a few because of this video! Great quality thank you so much!
@@corinna5732 so happy this video could help! Anytime!😊😊
what size scarf do you use for the 3rd style?
Hi Julia, that scarf is a Mimu Maxi scarf and it measures 40” X 40” ! 😊
@@DaniElle-py2ts thanks so much :) your video is very helpful and easy for someone new to tichels like me
@@juliahernandez93 Thank you!!😊 So happy it could help!
Is that still your instagram?
Hi do u cover for marriage or just to be tzinius?
Silk tichel is kind of difficult to tie:(
Silk can be difficult and slippery! You could try a velvet headband under to help it stay in place!😊
