Kind of makes you want to travel in that time machine back to O'Donoghue's...
I got my masters degree in history recently. For the graduation ceremony I had to fill in a time/place that I would want to have experienced. I put down the early 1960's to be able to witness Luke Kelly do his magic in O'Donoghues.
I loved going to O’Donogues the music was always great.
Brought back so many memories. What great song,💯
WHAT A FANTASTIC VOCALIST
Andy has always been my great inspiration on the mandolin, octave mandolin and bouzouki. Great musician and singer!
Brilliant Performance Andy
Saw and heard him recently... a master. A pleasure for me.
Priceless! It is quite fortunate that we can very easily record and preserve this stuff, awful to think what has been lost in the past.
Great as always Andy, wonderful music and wonderful entertainment and humour, cheers!
Ronnie, Barney,Ted McKenna Luke, Joe Dolan,RIP Great days
First time i heard this was last night at the Black Box! Loved it!x
Andy, I wouldn't have you change a single bit of it. Thanks mate.
Thank you from cork
Sadly missed him in the arts centre in Downpatrick. Our fabulous Irish musicians always had a story to tell before the music began
I'm going to be charitable and assume that those four thumbs down were made by folks too drunk to hit the thumbs up icon.
That's the game trolls play. The more popular the artist(s) with those who value great music and great talent, the more thumbs down. Double that if they are political in any way.
Fecking great!!! :D
Andy is a man who tires of the road.
What a great song. The capacity for such story-telling and scene-setting is something that folk music does so much more effectively than pop music.
Dont go to ODonoghues's pub, you will have the time of your life, a time you will never forget, the crack will be great, music the best, No don't go ODonoghues's pub
I don't want to add a comment turn off
The song starts at 2.54
is that an octave mandola or an actual bouzouki ?
A funny version of the truth. B
Andy, the nimble-fingered prodigious drinker, bless him. czcams.com/video/NL69U60mwrk/video.html
His tunes all sound the same but the words are not
JRR Tolkien was right when he said "If more of us valued food and cheer above hoarded gold it would be a merrier world". Andy, your a true Irish Hobbit! God Bless you!!!
