      Gospel huh?
Ask any true gospel fan and they will choose Aretha Franklin over Elvis.
Am i wrong? In fact, Cece winans is the greatest gospel artist of all time. But i bet you don't know who Cece is...am i wrong?

Talent is talent, Passion is Passion. The expression of each is called ART. THE ACCEPTANCE OF ART is in the eye of the beholder. If I counted all the art, Duke Ellington to Madonna and beyond, it is an enrichment to my very being. Thank you for the joy music anf awesome performers, it continues to bless my life!

John Lennon once said: "Before Elvis there was nothing". What utter nonsense!! We had Little Richard, Chuck Berry & Bill Haley doing rock 'n' roll long before Elvis arrived on the scene.

Name one single singer Elvis influenced: I'll wait.
Now name every boy band The Beatles influenced?
Elvis influenced nobody because his influences came from black singers so nobody can tell me he is influential. As a Beatles fan yourself you should know that

That’s the only reason Elvis serves a purpose. He’s only a bridge between old music and the counterculture revolution of the 60s for me.

Bro, 1.5 billion people watched his 1973 Hawaii show. That’s more than 2 decades after his “prime” as most people see it. Elvis was big, and he had a better voice than any of the Beatles members (An American Trilogy, the entire 68 comeback special, and Unchained Melody are better than any Beatles song)

  • @Moicesy

    I think he is overrated
His voice was not special, his range was very limited, even when it come to his songs I like falling in love with you, I like when other people cover it but I don’t like his versions.
I just don’t see what the hype was about.
People try to belittle Michael Jackson to Elvis 🤭😁 But Michael Jackson was a better artist 10 times more
But hey! No one is allowed to say this, this is a sensitive topic

Elvis was bigger than the Beatles but they were a tremendous talent. The Beatles especially Paul were at the top. Elvis was an entertainer. He had different genres of music. His movie songs were a great credit to the movie producers for show casing his voice range. Someone said Ekvis sang black music. He sang many genres and put his musical interpretation to it. In the end, the music he sang was sung they way he arranged it. The Brkeatles were great great great. Elvis is worldwide singer and entertainer. But there are many singers. Julio Iglesias was easily as big possibly bigger than elvis or the beatles. Vicente Fernandez was a household name in Mexico. I'm sure china and India and the arab world have unbelievable singers too. Celebrate them all
