It's truly a beautiful area and town! Make sure to get off the highways as soon as you can...I suggest 1826 to driftwood and then either Elder Hill to 12 or 150 down to the Old Kyle highway and then into Wimberley. Get there early if you want to walk around so you can find parking. There's a lot with bathrooms near the square and across the road from my friend Alicia's boutique "My Happy Place." Have a great time!!

I grew up in South Austin off W Stassney, went to Odom Elementary and Bedichek Middle School, but moved away in 1998. I still miss it terribly, and I’ve visited as often as I can since moving away 26 years ago. I know it’s changed a lot, but I’d still love to get back there at some point. I love watching videos of driving the area bc it lets me imagine living there. This area in particular is probably my favorite, but I’d love to see some drive through of South Austin further away from the lake, such as where I lived even if it’s not as desirable of an area. Thanks for the content!

Hi Jessica, thanks for the kind words! I'm very familiar with that area, I lived near William Cannon and Brodie for about 13 years. I'll definitely give your old area a drive and, you might be surprised, there are a lot of great things happening in that area again.

LMAO, for some reason I make that mistake a lot...I think in 4 or 5 videos I accidentally call paddleboarding water boarding🤣🤦‍♂
