I'm disappointed that Lee Zhongmou really did not explain himself to Wutong enough and only gave a one "I'm sorry" bit. After all he had put this young lady through, some was her own doing as well, I felt Zhongmou needed to be the one truly asking for Wutong forgiveness in a way that wasn't done. ie.... he has a one night stand with her, then give her check to forget the entire episode. She chooses to have and raised his child, he finds out and then takes her to court for custody using his power/ money 💰. Mean while he views Wutong as Naive and clueless about the world. His mother is a mean, disgruntled, hateful woman who treats her son and grandson with distain and Wutong as beneath her. He marries Wutong but doesn't trust her and then DisGuards of her when she is placed in a uncompromising position by a jealous, vengeful brother. Yet Wutong constantly forgives everyone and excuses their behavior for treating her like a doormat. Even after returning to the home with Lee Zhongmou, Wutong again excuses the mother -in-law apology as she has done throughout the drama, by taking personal blame. Wutong also excuses the brother who drugged her and staged pictures again she excuses his behavior by saying he was there for her when she was depressed. The only person in the family that treated Wutong with an ounce of respect from the onset of his interaction with her is the father-in-law. I know this is a Drama but for once I would like to see 👀 the man not just apologize but asked for forgiveness from the woman and yes also explain his awful behavior and treatment of/ towards her. When Wutong and Zhongmou run towards each other after the embrace, Lee Zhongmou should have explained himself a bit more. I. Felt as though Wutong did explain how she was treated by Lee Zhongmou but he never explained his treatment of her , only using the meteor garden and Wutong words to say they were destined to be together just one (1) I'm sorry wasn't sufficient in my book after everything he had put her through. As she said to Meiling in the phone call 📞 that she was concern that Lee would treat her the same way again. I'M Just saying!!!!!. This is a story about power & money💰, rich & poor and a class society.

This incident of asking for his wife’s forgiveness seemed incomplete. I guess there should be many other shots tailored out. The final episode was too rush for insufficient details to substantiate the logic of their unity.

Fully agree. It made it look like he did nothing! He should have to go through more. Dont like the unequal, entitlement message this series presents. We need to kill these stereotypical messages.
