You can call me crazy, but I like more this "natural sounding" violin we have in this video than the "plastic violin" we hear in her shows nowadays. These little imperfections make it a lot more interesting.
Doesn't look like she has as much fun when her act doesn't have studio recording played over it

belive it or not, that is violin vs speakers vs Camera equipment not equipped to handle the sounds. sounds unbelievable but my dad played in a band, country fiddle, and he had the same problem. some camera mics can handle it, some can't.

I honestly never liked the electric violin, but I understand why she uses it in concerts. It would hold up to much more abuse then a wooden violin, because I would never put my stradivarius through such abuse

It's not about the music, is it. She's the first person to combine exotic dancing with mediocre violin playing. She loves to twerk, lift her legs, and show her crotch a lot. It's more about that than the music. It's amazing the kind of crap that the American public laps up these days. This, and professional wrestling.
