It's not black lines really. They have a system which turns off the screen and on again really quickly to save battery. It can't be seen with naked eyes but while recording the screen with another camera then you can see it in the video play back.

For average users, everyday experience is what matters. I am using a P30. Opening apps and multi-tasking is lightning fast. Battery is enough for me to go about 2-3 days. No complain.
