- I take a walk from the World Trade Center to DUMBO & Brooklyn Bridge Park via the Brooklyn Bridge during the Holiday Season. NYC is very busy during this time, and there were plenty of people taking pictures at the Westfield Oculus Shopping Mall. The Brooklyn Bridge was extremely popular, and it was nice to see many people enjoying the day.

If NYC is like this in the winter months, then I can only imagine what it's like in the summer. I used to live in NYC and I have never seen it this jam packed.

That's the most crowded I've seen the Brooklyn Bridge. Lots of tourists!
As always, an enjoyable and informative walk! I had no idea the Brooklyn Bridge was so long. Is it always so crowded with pedestrians? One view in this especially struck me: the steeple of St. Paul's Chapel standing parallel to the Trade Center - the old and new side by side (7:16). Many thanks for this walk!
Bruce...It was never this crowded and I lived in NYC from 89 until the early 90's. The city is now shoulder to shoulder and I couldn't enjoy it now.

Thanks for this. Now I know how to get to DUMBO. When we walked the Brooklyn Bridge back in March it wasn’t crowded at all. We were trying to get to DUMBO and Washington Street but I guess we missed the path. We kept walking on the right hand path. Anyway , we walked the Manhattan Bridge and ended up in Chinatown.

I like the new design of the Brooklyn Bridge I remember the last time Actionkid took us on the Brooklyn Bridge it was all walled up because they were workking on it ... those two wider sections make a big difference although i dont like how people are selling stuff on the bridge going higher and higher up the bridge why cant NYC find a better location for all the people that want to sell for example an open parking lot that isnt being used.

I was born in Brooklyn and have never seen the bridge that crowded. Also, never saw vendors crowding the walking path like that, city needs to limit them as they take up needed walking space. Last time I walked over the bridge it was a week before Christmas in 2019 and it was not packed like during your walk. Think I would have vetoed walking over it as packed as it was. Thanks for another great walking tour.
