    What if you were a minor (under 18yr old) when you entered the US and during your overstay time? Is it safe to leave the Country to go under the Consular process to apply for a residence visa?

    • @directusimmigration
      @directusimmigration  Před rokem +1

      Yes, the case can be consular processed. It is important to not that minors do not accrue unlawful presence so there may not be a re-entry bar. To discuss further, please schedule a consultation with us at www.directusimmigration.com or email us at inquiry@directusimmigration.com .

    Can I get an answer from you, please? I went to America and exceeded the period of stay for 7 days after six months. I got sick. I went to the hospital twice. I have my hospital admission papers. Can I visit America again? No problems with the immigration officer at the airport. The reason I stayed for 6 months was that I visited many places. The visa is valid. The last visit was one year and five months ago.

    Hello, my GF entered legally on a certain type of visa to take care of her grandmother (a citizen) and since the passing of the relative she is seeking an extension but I believe is past the 180 days. Her and her mother are working through this situation with lawyers, but is there a path back to visa/green card even after the 180 day stay? What about through marriage? She doesn’t plan to leave the US again. Thanks

    Very interesting video.
    I am in this situation so I have some questions.
    I entered to 🇺🇸 on VWP, I tried extended it but it was denied (this happened by 2000).
    I married a U.S. resident in 2021 and now she will become us citizen probably this year (3 years through VAWA).
    After I exposed it, am I eligible for green card?

    i have 2 question
    1. if a person entered the US when they were a minor with a visa and now they are over 21 and they over stayed their visa and their parent is a citizen, can that parent file for a green card for the child without the child returning to his/her country for the interview?
    2. if that person happen to have a lot of money, could the person apply for a green card through the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program?

    • @directusimmigration
      @directusimmigration  Před 4 měsíci

      No, the child will likely have to exit the U.S. and re-enter. Same with the investment-based immigration. To discuss further, you may contact us at inquiry@directusimmigration.com .

    Hi, I have a question my husband came as a child with a visa and he overstayed his visa. Did he violated his nonimmigrant status? Even tho he was a child ? Please answer me

    • @directusimmigration
      @directusimmigration  Před 7 měsíci

      It depends on the age he entered, whether he changed status and at what age, and what status he currently holds if he is inside the U.S. To discuss further, please schedule a consultation with us at www.directusimmigration.com .

    I’m from Jamaica 🇯🇲 but my girlfriend is born American but she has a felony can I get a green card or citizenship if we get married

    • @directusimmigration
      @directusimmigration  Před 6 měsíci

      It depends on the severity of the crime. Generally, a U.S. citizen with a felony conviction is less likely to be able to sponsor someone for a green card. To discuss further, please schedule a consultation with us at www.directusimmigration.com .
