Ok I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for medical dramas. No matter how many medical dramas is on tv.

I’m glad that they’re centering this around a person of color and their experiences. Foreign doctors and healthcare workers actually make up a sizable portion of our health care workforce and it’s great to see on screen the good that they do :)

Yes. I'm most impressed that the lead is a foreign doctor (Middle East) beginning to practice in North America. His nationality and race matter less. I'm not usually interested in medical dramas, but am curious about this one.

@@joestitz239let me clarify- all in-hospital treatments seem to mimic real life including -yes- drilling into the head - aka burr holes. On the outside with out radiologic support and in a non-sterile environment 🤷🏼♀️ luck was on his side.

I'll definitely check this show out. But low-key, I'm pissed off. NBC canceled my favorite medical drama on the network, Night Shift, but they're constantly making new medical dramas on NBC. WTF!!!!😈
yea same, and i feel like the night shift was the only good one. chicago med feels repetitive, and new amsterdam just has boring characters

As the recipient of a heart and kidney it will be interesting to see how close this show can come to reality! I knew my medical team and caregivers well over several months and I hope the show visits those all important relationships!

Lol there is a reason Grey’s Anatomy has 16 seasons and is still going😂. House doesn’t even come close
House MD went 8 seasons which is great, we don't need to have shows go on so long that we get to see the main characters collect social security.

I hope this show sheds light on how important International Medical Graduates (IMGs) are to health care system and, currently during pandemic ECFMG medical organization based in US is basically destroying medical careers by changing the rules last minute, cutting off most of the applicants who were eligible and charging $900-1200 just for paperwork. for entering residency all because we couldnt take step 2cs , a test that involves human contact. We deserve to be treated like human beings not cash cows.
I find this premise interesting. A doctor from a wartorn country using his experience and history to save lives
Im a 2 time transplant survivor , I do hope they have some organ transplant story lines,cant wzit to watch also a Covid-19 survivor got it 2 months after my transplant in February.

NBC's Good Doctor answer for ABC medical Drama. Since I'm a Muslim and I'm glad that the lead actor is a Middle eastern guy. I'm a Good Doctor fan also, so I'm excited for this.
But he’s not, he’s Pakistani and doesn’t resemble an average Syrian in terms of looks, which is a bit upsetting to be honest, especially given the large number of Syrians and Syrian actors in Canada.. could’ve hired one of them instead

Ready to here that I failed and that I did wrong cause I literally only studied for like 5 hours when I had 2 months to and she said not only did you beat everyone elses time...you beat everyones score in the class...you only missed one tiny thing but that's nothing... Nice drama! But as a Muslim I should announce that we have to pray 5 times each day!! Not as mentioned in the movie "sometimes nothing" ☺️ hopefully the next seasons don't show a bad scenarios for the Muslim actors like how most movies do.. Because it's okay to show the reality of how some Muslims are committed to their religion no matter what the environment is.

You can't just give someone blood without knowing their blood type. Wtf? At least try to make it somewhat realistic.
If the person know they o- or a universal donor I'm sure it's possible
A lot of times trauma will activate resuscitation protocols, allowing universal donor blood to be given which is type O. Most hospitals also call this "trauma blood".
