  • Hey friends, it took some time but here comes the third video of my tutorial series on the Digitone + Digitakt combo! This video is all about live performance techniques using the Digi combo, some techniques are more basic, some are more advanced.
    The video builds on the first two videos of the series, if you haven't already watched them you can find them here: • Playlist
    Note: I recorded this video before updating to the latest Digitakt firmware 1.20.

    Hi Miles!
    Great tutorial, thank you for your effort! I got one question though 🤔
    Have you founds some midi workaround for controlling midi cc parameter of two midi channels at once? For instance when you increase the filter cutoff of layared DN voices it would be neat to do it at the same time, right? Or reload the pattern on both devices 💕
    Also maybe there is similar solution to handle transport messages such as entering the fill mode, etc.
    Cheers 👋

    • @MilesKvndra
      @MilesKvndra  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey AIKO! Another good question and I haven't found a solution for that. I'm sure it works but I'm just not too deep into the MIDI stuff (and tbh don't have a huge desire to dive in there 😁). However, for pattern changes there is an option to send pattern changes for example from the Digitakt to the Digitone. For me this works very smoothly and really simplifies pattern changes. Cheers!

    Dear Miles, very informative video as usual. And yes good idea for next time about arranging, and maybe the compressor settings side chainning and mastering, as it often happens to me that the sound interfere and are not audible.
    PS recently discovered that you can set 2 or more midi tracks to the same Chanel. So you can also make variations with the muting method 😉
    Keep creating my friend! 🙌

    • @MilesKvndra
      @MilesKvndra  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey Adil my friend, always appreciate your feedback! I actually touched on the compressor in the first video of this series but just this evening I changed my setup now routing the Digitone inside of the Digitakt which makes it possible to run all tracks through the compressor - amazing! I really love that new Digitakt firmware update. Sidechaining is still not possible with the Digitakt's compressor I think, I always use an LFO to "fake" a pumping sidechain effect. And the MIDI setup is a good hint - thanks for that! Enjoy your weekend and happy jamming! 🙏🏻

    • @MilesKvndra
      @MilesKvndra  Před 2 lety +1
