My favourite part of that film is when they finally reach the threshold to the room they’ve been musing about for the last two hours, only to sit down and say “Wait! There’s no rush.” I watched it with some buddies who had this movie roulette thing going on, and that part got a good laugh out of us, though I don’t think that was meant to be a joke. I’m probably missing something, but that movie was such navel-gazing tripe, IMO. It’s not that I’m averse to philosophy, but I think a movie should tell a story that provokes the viewer to philosophise. To have some characters we barely know just walk around delivering half-baked filibusters for 3 hours just felt pretentious and a bit manipulative.
I wonder if this wasn't a deliberate attempt to see just exactly how long they could yank the audiences' collective chains without lising share numbers.
I can't believe how funny this scene is. It conveys a wide range of emotions. HES STILL GOING!" lmfao
