Welcome back Dave!
Long waited video. Gosh I was missing those beautiful video and very good tutorial. Thank you Dave, amazing.. now more videos please. 🙂
Thanks for posting Dave. Very Informative.👍
And Dave still has his awesome camera strap!!! Glad to see your back...
He's back 🎉❤
Thank you for sharing your amazing gift. 🩷
Always!
Beautiful sunset. BTW, Lightroom now has an "Open as Smart Object Layers in Photoshop" option to simplify the process if you start there.
Great video... Love the editing stuff.
Wow! Such a beautiful place!
My day just keeps getting better when I see a new Dave Morrow vid!
Good to see you post Dave, and as always great learning as well as a cracking final image.
It's always a good day when Dave posts a new video. Excellent tutorial. It's gone straight to 'save' for future reference.
Loved this! A place I'd love to visit!
Nice video and valuable tips👍
Good to see you back Dave. Interesting video. I’ll put this into my Reference library.
Love your videos Dave! 😊
Lots to on board Dave. Great video.......cheers.
Enjoy your videos as always and your approach to blending. I have found that using a shutter release to time the exposure with wave action results in better options for me. Of course, just one more thing to carry and potentially loose. Good to see you back.
Dave, question about your shooting workflow setup. At the point where you first focus on the compostion and then st your 'f/' stop. Can you please explain why in this order and does it matter? Learning a lot and thank you!
Long time no see! Great to wake up and find this video! Thanks for taking me along!
Very Very Good...Thanks so much Dave M.
Excellent review on techniques
Dave, you are definitely a photography artist.
Great Video Dave, Hope all is well with you, We moved to eastern TN 2 1/2 years ago... come visit the Great Smokey Mountains
Hey Dave, I know you’re not in this for the likes, but just wanted to say thank you for another great video. I’m still trying to master all of these techniques.
Bilgiler için teşekkürler.
Hey Dave, I liked the video. Great location. Hope you're doing well
WOW I Love the Video ..Thank you so much ...God Bless you more than aver B 4
I subscribed just because you hiked 43 miles for a shot!
Welcome back, thought you got lost!
Nice video, thanks Dave! Surely the cloud bank was worthy of a vertical shot?
Try a 4 x 5 or 8 x 10. You will love it.
Great video! I'm using the back button auto focus and find myself frequently having to use the focus ring to dial it in, as you show in the video. Does this mean there is something off with my camera or lens? Do I need to learn how to adjust or calibrate the auto focus?
and then do you splice them all together for one shot? beautiful place; looks cold there.
👍👍
Olympic national park! i live in washington state
Hi Dave blending all these images was any filters used? Great videos. Thanks
CPL only. Here ya go: www.davemorrowphotography.com/p/whats-in-dave-morrows-camera-bag.html
Interesting that you changed f-stop in the middle of a series. I was always told that that changed the size of the image slightly- is it not enough to be noticeable when you blend images?
North La Push?
Why don’t you use a remote shutter release instead of a five second time delay.
4 ounces is a lot of extra weight to carry just to add complexity to the shooting process with no upsides. Shutter releases aren’t required. Never used one in my life. One camera body, 2 lenses, small tripod, and a memory card. All the camera gear that’s necessary.
On Nikon cameras you also have a choice of a 3 second “delay mode” (instead of Dave’s Time Delay mode) which can be customised to go on the red video record button in stills mode. It’s ultra convenient!
Adding to this. Weight is a factor I don't consider, but... Remote releases aren't without their drawbacks: cable releases can be fiddly and while I use a Bluetooth remote release on my Sony and it disconnects all the time. On my last trip, I ended up defaulting to a 2-second timer despite having a remote release with me.
