The Sam Rami/Tobey Maguire Spider-Man films were simply awesome. You know what else was awesome? The actions figures produced by ToyBiz from 2002-2004! From stretching the boundaries of poseability and articulation for 6 inch figures to including numerous characters like J Jonah Jameson , Norman Osborn Green Goblin, Mary Jane Watson, Peter Parker and Doc Ock! Hasbro has produced some great Marvel Legends Action Figures, but few toys top what was made by Toy Biz in for those first two Spider-Man movies. Plus, we are giving away a Super Posable Spider-Man 2 action figure to one lucky Carbon Scoring subscriber! It doesn't get any better than this!
Don't forget to subscribe to Carbon Scoring for the best in Action Figures and Comics History.

The last doc ock is actually a hasbro release. The toybiz one has all of the tentacles posable. Loved the format of this video tho. I’m glad the knowledge of this line is getting out there.
Thanks - I think the body is actually the ToyBiz one because it has much better paint apps compared to another one I have with the exact same sculpt, but it sounds like I put the wrong tentacles on it!
😁😁😁loveu
Spider criminal!
I never thought spider criminal would comment here 😆
2😎💚
I remember losing my magnet Spidey that I loved so much, the next year a taxi driver saw me eyeing his own magnet Spidey throughout the whole ride and gave it to me.
Memories are etched into that figure.
What a great story, love when stuff like that happens
Those accessories are crazy. Toy biz was ahead of their time. Hasbro would never release something like that nowadays…
I don't think there is any way they could with the current prices
I got the Super-poseable Spidey for my 10th birthday back in 2007 when there were still leftover figures from Spider-Man 2 in retail stores. To this day, it's my favorite toy ever. I even had the bilboard base with the rope he could use to swing, but I remember I didn't have anywhere to hang it and my parents wouldn't allow me to drill 2 holes in the wall in my room to hang it there so I put it away and it got lost to time, unfortunately. But I still own the figure and it's in prestine condition with almost 0 painting errors and no loose joints. I still have him standing next to my desk, "protecting me". :) I will probably keep him with me for as long as I live.
That is what this hobby is all about - thanks for sharing this story - I loved it!!!
@@CarbonScoring Thanks for taking the time to read it! :)
I adore the Raimi trilogy. In fact, they are my all time favorite movies! When you look back,I am amazed at the detail these figures have. Nowadays,it's common for statues and figures to have accurate facial details and looks. But back in 2002? Not so much. That Mary Jane figure especially, looks SO much like Kirsten Dunst! I love your reviews in this video. Great work!
Thanks, man - that was truly a line waaaaay ahead if it's time!
The Spider-Man at 28:26 with the magnets is actually the version that goes with the base at 40:37. The less articulated version with magnets in both the hands and feet belongs to the Empire State Building display. Connect him to the top and he will swivel all the way down the pole. Similarly, the doc ock shown around the 41:00 mark is not the correct doc ock. The version for the final wave was actually a brand new sculpt entirely. With less articulation, a better sculpt and (4) bendy tentacles. I believe the version you are showing is one of the hasbro rereleases from one of the 2007-2009 waves to coincide with the third film.
Thanks - when these things have been stuck in a box for over a decade, it is hard to tell which is which!
@@CarbonScoring if you ever get the chance to track down that better doc ock, it’s definitely worth it!
Dude Toybiz toys are just on a totally different planet when compared to today's figures... the attention to detail was outstanding
We still get great figures today, but none of it would be possible without what ToyBiz did!
impressed with just how much plastic they could include in a single box back in the day.
I get why it's not the standard nowadays, but loved how they went all out with the diorama pieces.
It was an amazing time that I didn't fully appreciate - I just wanted the figures back then and tossed the accessories in a box - sadly I have lost many of them to time...
Can’t wait to see what’s in store for us! Good job to whoever wins the giveaway, whether it’s someone else or I, I hope you enjoy the figure! (I know I will if I win), and I hope you enjoy this video!
Men I hope I win
I really want that action figure if ha chose me that's my first action figure and I'm from Philippines Soo I'm waiting him to go live bye
Well, everyone hopes they win, even I, and everyone else who entered the giveaway, but still, good luck to all!
Good luck to all!
cant wait!!! good luck to everyone and
my self!
Good luck everyone I hope the figure goes to someone who really needs it
I hope so too!
@@CarbonScoring yea even I am still trying to figure out which spider man action figure from the Sam raimi trilogy I have lol
@@CarbonScoring I really want that action figure me please
I still have my 2002 super posable Spider-Man. I used to have a Green Goblin + Glider (that shot pumpkin bombs) so cool. The toys from the first movie were way too good looking
It’s amazing how cheap they sold these for back then
They were a bargain - we just didn't know it!
What a great video. I remember running around with my gf at the time & best friend to different Toys R Us stores in the NY/NJ/CT areas looking for these Spider Man movie Toys. I had a bunch, but not all. Unfortunately, most of my Sam Rami-verse figures are gone thanks to a couple boxes tuning up missing during a move. The hunt is on for them though.
Congrats to all the winners!
Love those old school fig videos, the accessories showcase just makes your content even better man! Thankyou Carbon!
Glad you like them! I'll keep cranking out the videos - you keep watching!
Late to the party. Great video. This video is super nostalgic to me as I had a handful of the Spider-Man 2 figures growing up.
I’ve added a few details missed:
As pointed out 40:37 is the real magnetic spider-man for 28:26. Arguably the best spider-man 2 figure after the super poseable.
30:27 after you’ve loaded the web blast (with a click), you squeeze Spidey’s legs to shoot
37:15 battle attack spidey is similar to the spin and kick spidey in the same wave. Play feature spider-man with bendable tentacles base
39:47 I recall Doc Ocks bottom tentacles “fingers” also clasp inwards
If you can change the batteries for the green goblin chair, I highly recommend doing so since 20 years is a lot of time for the batteries to leak out
Greta advice!
I was a big Spider-Man fan when I was a child and still am re-watching all of the old Spider-Man movies just bring me back to nostalgia and I remember getting my first Spider-Man action figure for the first time
Cant wait to the see the winner and a new video from one of my favorite youtubers, good luck to everyone that entered
I remember I had that wave 2 Green Goblin, lost to time sadly. But strangely I remember it having the wave 1 goblin figure on it as well.. maybe I had both and don't remember properly.
Hopefully you saved some figures!!!
I actually own the battle attack spidey! He is pretty much a basic spiderman like the others, but of course he has the well done scuplting and painting. The only downside to this figure is the arm articulation, the arms do not have butterfly joints as they go out to a t pose like stance, this is because of its gimmick of punching when you wind his arms back
I can’t wait for this review to see all of the figures from this amazing era! And good luck to everybody who entered the giveaway and good job to whoever wins!
That gonna be good! Good luck for everybody!
Congratulations to the Giveaway winners!
I just like revisiting this previous lines, If toy biz still has something over hasbro, is the variety of 6 inch toylines, all of them with articulation, bases, features, we got Spider-man Classics, x-men, Hulk, Legends and Movie Toylines all separate, today it's just the Legends line, not that it is as bad, but I just wish that hasbro could return to that, imagine having at least 3 versions of a Spidey Figure based on a design, with different bases or accessories, you'll get 3 chances at the same figure for retail price, not dealing with scalpers that much.
Thanks for this video, I never got any Toy Biz Raimi figures, i was too young for them at the time (2 and 4 years old respectively so probably they wouldn't have survived this long) this felt like going to a friends house and he letting me see and play with his spider-man movie figures all over again 💕.
These are always my favorite comments - when someone says watching my videos is like "going over to a friends house" - that is when I know I have done my job well!
Amazing video! Thank you so much for the absolute incredible trip down memory lane for these awesome figures :)
i would draw spider man with a bit of black for that venom look. The spider man toys made me really appreciate the joints, the more movement the better, more immersive for the fight scenes i did as a child
Toybiz is so goated for giving us figures like this. The amount of detail, care for sculpt and movie accuracy and those awesome accessories and play features like cmon man. I dont even like gimmicks typically but they gave us multiple versions of a character in case you fancy articulation more. Hasbro still got nothing on my favorite toy company. Thanks Carbon Scoring!
Always happy to lead a walk down memory lane!
Here we go!!
XDDDDD oh my God that was fricken hilarious the way you had that pause when you had the jj Jamison figure d his play feature and that last Parker then pausing and resuming to say "parker...are you you deaf?" Caught me off guard that pause was unintentionally really funny
I get a giggle every now and then!
These figures were so ahead of their time. Truly amazing relics.
Can't wait to do a comparison!
Great video, love seeing other people’s collections. I don’t get to show everyone my collection often, so it’s nice to see others do it
So heres to the people who are confuse for the Spider-Man 2 wave. The super poseable Spidey comes woth 2 versions, 1 normal and 1 with magnets on the feet ONLY (both come with billboards). Then there was the Web trap Spidey and Magnetic Spidey. Both exact same figure except that the magnetic spidey has magnets on his hands and feet and comes with that super long pole. Then there was the aerial flipping Spidey and Pizza scooter Spidey. Both same figure except that aerial flipping as fisted hands, wider neck, slightly different paint and his hip joints are popping out a bit. Then every other figure is those with those kid features ( most of those uses parts of the Web trap Spidey)
Despite your excellent explanation, I think it is pretty easy to see why we can all get confused
@@CarbonScoring I totally understand....It took my YEARS just to figure out the difference between each figure 🤣
I think my favorite from all of these is jjj. The accessories make it even better.
The accessories take that figure over the top!
Unlocking childhood memories. I was able to get my hands on the 12in poseable Spider-Man from Spider-Man 2 the other day and the difference between it and the new 12 inch figures is crazy. Wow
Yes - that is an amazing figure you picked up
I have a really cool Toybiz 2002 Green Goblin. It was my cousin’s, but it’s mine now. He’s pretty awesome.
That is super cool!
It was perfect reminds me of Spider-Man no way home.🌟👍💖
Congratulations to the winners, and of course congratulations to Carbon Scoring. Can’t wait to see what happens next!
More to come!
Sounds great!
What is your favorite brand? I like Hasbro.
i love the first one spiderman
Me too!
Can't wait to see who wins
Good Luck everyone I know that whoever gets the figure will love it
Can’t wait
Such a big fan of this channel. Great collection. After No Way Home I went in my attic and found all the super posable Spideys in fantastic but opened condition plus super posable Ock and Goblin. The Retro nostalgia is high here! Keep ot coming!
Thanks for sharing!! Glad to have you on board
33:42 another subtle difference between aerial flip and web trap spidey is the back spidey logos are different sizes! Fun fact 😁
Thank you, sir!
If I remember correctly, for Spiderman at 30:30 you have to squeeze the legs together
Nice - great call!
i think the way u talk bout thses figures in all ur vids are amazing
I’m so excited for this good luck everyone!
Nice job to the winners, super excited for carbon scoring 2022.
the first figures i got when i was 8 years old, on May 06, 2001 (my birthday) was the spider-man with the gargoyle and green goblin with the glider! so nostalgic. 🥰
If I get it I’m gonna start a collection
Wow! That would be an impressive figure to start with!
7:11 I don't know if you know, but the parts that connect the wings of the glider are assembled incorrectly.
Thanks - that is my bad!
I remember having the wrestler Spider-Man as a kid till the wrestler rubber gear ripped up from switching costumes back and forth so many times
It is a real risk - but also the sign of a toy well lived!
@@CarbonScoring then years later in 2008 I had another one that hasbro made and the same thing happened.
Hopefully I win!! (Good luck to you others !!) hope I win though, I lost my Spider-Man 2 figure before. I subbed, ,liked and commented
I really love these old figures.
They hold up so well!
I've got the Battle Ravaged Spidey, Web Swinging Spidey, Rapid Punch Spidey and 2 of the Tentacle Attack Doc Ock's.
UPDATE: just got Leaping Spidey, Battle Ravaged Green Goblin, bump and go cycle Green Goblin, Norman Osborn, another Tentacle Attack Doc Ock and Bendable Tentacle Doc Ock
Great collection!
I need this as my first figure
Good luck!
I like the web climb Spider-Man because he has a grappling hook hand
Cool fig for sure!
@@CarbonScoring another reason that it's cool because you can use web climb Spider-Man for web swinging
Can't wait
And I hope I win as I have none of the rami figures
Yeeeessssss i cant wait the figure giveaway
Wish they made more of these
Good luck everyone
I remember wanting a toy biz spider man action figure
They produced such great TOYS!
I know right
I know that I mentioned in one of your videos that I had a Willem Dafoe Green Goblin and Spiderman and it was stolen while those Toybiz Spiderman movie figures were good at the time, I wouldn't mind if HASBRO did a redo on Toby Maguire Spiderman, Willem Dafoe Green Goblin, Alfred Molina Doctor Octopus, along with the other villains and Andrew because we got Tom Holland Spiderman figs already, But still, Love your videos.
I also want to see what they can do with them. While the ToyBiz figures are great - Hasbro has been CRUSHING it for years now with incredible figures!
I love these videos and Im glad there's more people like me collecting spider man merch good work thx
Heck yeah! There are a ton of us!!!
Congratulations for getting these toys
The green goblin figure from wave one is beautiful and the super possible spider-man was and still is amazing
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for being at the premiere earlier today!
Man all of the toys are really detailed and I like the stuff that they did for the kids playing with the toys but I am also wondering what number was I at the chart
the nob on the spin and kick spiderman is actually the button to activate the kick, u gotta wind it up and use that to let it go
@Carbon Scoring I love your vids and I have been watching for 1 year and I would really like the action figure because at the time I was not in to action figure collecting and now Im trying to get all the sam raimi figures
I'm so mad I don't have my Scooter Spidey anymore. As a kid, it was pretty funny shooting ock with pizzas 😆
Such a rare figure!
Good luck everyone! This is the first giveaway I’ve ever entered so I hope I win! Super excited for this video as well, my cousin use to have all of these toy biz figures and I’d always be in awe looking at them.
You are very lucky to have these figures, the resell price of all Tobey action figures are going bananas right now because of NWH
spiderman is cool
The coolest!
I like the toy biz spider-man’s I don’t really have them but they are really cool 😎thanks for making this video
My pleasure! One of my goals is for people to know just how great Toy Biz’s figures were back in the day!
Wish me luck :)
If I didn't got picked to win, It's okay because this channel is a lot of fun for all viewers can enjoy knowing MARVEL'S history on comics, action figures from companies like Toybiz and HASBRO, and yes MARVEL and DC are still going strong because they try very hard while some things don't work out for the movies like story, plots place, etc.
Thanks, Fernando! That is the kind of positive attitude we really go for here at Carbon Scoring!!!
Super Hype for this!! Very exited for this video good luck everyone🤞
Good luck guys
I can’t wait for this video it’s going to be AMAZING!!!
Initially, I was going to just do a short video announcing the winners, but the more I thought about it, the more I got excited to share these incredible toys from 20 years ago! I know everyone wants to know the winners, but I hope you get just as excited for the video!
Can’t wait . I already now it’s going to be good.
Congratulations to Tony!
1:15 here's my cameo, so close lol
Great vid as usual
Awwwww, man! So close!
Ooooh man, can't wait for the giveaway part II!
I always tuned in to my fave channel ☕😎
The aerial flipping spiderman is completely different than the web trap. Different sculpt and paint. Look at the spider symbols, the butterfly joints and height. Aerial flipping spiderman is the same as the Pizza Scooter spiderman just with fisted hands.
Gotcha - thanks for the tip. Again, these have been trapped in a storage box for years - glad to let them breath a little!
That's so cool . I love Spider-Man
Glad you enjoyed it!
That "Shoot and Slide" Spiderman is actually the Super-Posable Spider-Man
The Shoot and Slide one had less articulation, like it lacks the ab crunch, articulated fingers and has the hips from the Spider-Man 1 super posable
Also the first magnetic Spider-Man came with the base of the last one, and vise versa
33:41
The arial thwiping spidey has a bigger spider symbol then the web trap spidey
Nice - never knew that!
And the ab crunch is different on each figures
Congratulations to all the winners
Those are great figs
I can't wait too see the spider man figure
bruh, you got the glider attached wrong, upside down. lol the exhaust pipes were facing the front, and not the back, flip it out. 🤣
Love that goblin
Amazing figure!
The "PARKER!!" got me dying XD
I ended up losing the mask for green goblin when I had that figure as a kid lol
Perfect video. Thank you. Straight to the point and a little bit of history of each wave. Well done
Remember owning some of these figures as a kid but I don’t have them anymore the only one that survived was the unmasked Green Goblin but that too I later lost. So I no longer have any figures for Spider-Man 1&2. 😭
I am getting nostalgic seeing this 😍
That is what I was going for!
Loved it man this whole video was my childhood summed up, keep doing what you’re doing you got a subscriber for life!
All of these where awesome.
Just finished congratulations Tony!
I wish I had as many actions figured as you did man! Keep it up dude!
You have my word!
I am a favorite character is Spider-Man and I always love Spider-Man and I would like to get a character like that
Good luck!
