- The finale of the 1992 New York Rock & Soul Revue concert in Philadelphia. A poor video but nice performance of the Beach Boys classic. Joining Donald Fagen on stage are Boz Scaggs, Phoebe Snow, Michael McDonald, Chuck Jackson, The Hooters, and Walter Becker. Again, sorry for the poor quality.

I was at the show at The Texas Roadhouse in NYC. Warm music on a cold night...
Hey I was at the Jones Beach show too! A picture perfect night as I recall. Just wish someone had a good video of it. Too bad!
beautiful....
He sang a couple verses of it when I saw them end with this in Mansfield,MA.
Stayed at the piano though.
A couple times during the concert though, he would step up front and sing while playing keyboard that he held like a guitar.
Wander around.
great song. I do really like the beach boys and that
Wow! Heard MM sing one verse of this. Just perfect sound on that one verse. Great!
MM did this song with Brian Wilson backing band at a Grammys tribute to BW. It was phenomenal!
Spectrum, Philadelphia 08/18/92.
sarahrolie I was there!
One of the best shows I've seen at the spectrum. Miss that place. Wonderful concerts and memories.
Ive got that documentary,too.
This performance is a reminder of how effortlessly Brian Wilson hit those notes on the original recording. The one singer today (or back in '92) who could do this song justice is Timothy B. Schmit.
Wouldve been great if DF had taken the mic for the 3rd verse . Left his piano and wandered centre stage whilst singing it out. Great tune- i bet he'd have loved to as well.
how come this wasn't on the cd or official video?
It probably wasn't performed at that show.
wow brian wilson tribute
Very difficult song to sing, you gotta have some heavy tenor chops
that sucked. you got too many chiefs on one stage
+Ymous Anon You know nothing , obviously. Dismissed.
your a musical illiterate!
