I've tried those 3 and i ended up buying the Atlas Execline. The Mazda i don't even want to talk about it, garbage! The GH, not bad but interior finished felt so cheap... the only thing i really love about it, it's the fact that it is hybrid and the hybrid max is a beast but for us the Atlas is way more beautiful in and out plus the comfort and the tech that i wanted for less than the GH. Unless performance is all you care, Atlas is the way to go here in my opinion anyway. My Final top 3 was Atlas, Palisade and GH.

I love my 2024 peak edition atlas. It is one of the most spacious and comfortable cars I have ever sat and driven in. It has been absolutely flawless in a month or so since I owned it. It seems that they are many of the negative reviews about VW, but not nearly enough of the positive ones. The reality is that there are way more reliable and great atlas cars then lemons. But people don’t seem to understand that you can get a lemon car with literally any other car manufacturer not only VW. Atlas is as great as you can get for the price, above average quality build and nothing beats that massive cargo space which comes in so handy at times.

Great video and great review! Good work. Just want to point out that there is a spare tire! ;) i bought the Execline with the captain chairs. My final Top 3 in the category was Atlas, GH and Palisade. I wish that the 2024 Traverse was out as it look pretty nice too. In the end, we were looking for a luxury feel with comfort, tech, and room for long family trip so the Atlas is the winner in my opinion despite the lack of physical button.

A couple times you did not mention: how is the drive (engine, transmission, suspension) for this type of vehicle that of course is not a BMW or Audi? Second, was the NVH acceptable? Going to test drive a cross sport in a few weeks and would enjoy your thoughts on the items I listed.

I really love the front end looking like the Ford Explorer from a few years ago. I’d buy one if it wasn’t for the entire rest of the car, VW is running their company straight into the ground. It’s like they’re removing the heaters, adding buttons to start an actual fire, and asking why people don’t want their cars. The fact the CEO put out a statement saying “I see we’re upsetting our customers” during a time when not one CEO will admit fault shows how bad their decision making has been.

Pretty good review, few things you missed that I would have brought up. I noticed only because I currently sell for VW. The trim level should have the heads up display and heated seats for the second row. Also all of the trim levels have ventilated seats now too. Now I say this as well being that I'm in the U.S. if there is a difference with the Canadian models.....my bad...lol

I have a Volkswagen atlas 2021. My wife had a deer in May 2023 and the autobody shop has not been able to source a hood and bumper for this car. This has left us with a car payment and insurance but no car to drive Volkswagen. Cannot tell us when they will start manufacturing hood and bumper. I would not buy a Volkswagen atlas or any volts wagon for that matter because they are not manufacturing parts to repair their cars.

I have 2024 VW Atlas comfortline
It has these disadvantages so far
1- water gets inside the engine room once you wash my Atlas
2- you have to put the driving mode on Eco every time you start the car , it is annoying
3- the car is rattling a lot from the doors and seats
4- the sound of the heating fan is loud
5- it doesn’t have the windshield heater inside the frond window glass , Toyota rav4 has it
6- line assist is not very efficient, try it and you will know what I mean
7- the radar system doesn’t work in the snowy and rainy conditions
8- the fan of climate control is only controlled by the screen, if the screen damaged then you may freeze or get very hot until you get to a mechanical shop
9- the engine turns off once you shift the gear from R to D

    • @frevazz3364
      @frevazz3364 Před 7 měsíci

I haven’t seen the issues that you listed, but I don’t live in snowy weather areas. On the eco setting, it saves the last selection until you change it again on my Atlas so maybe take a look at the settings.

Curious about why Mike's obsession with the placement of rear wiper blades (which I totally agree with for Canadian winters) has not been heard of for quite some time? Big bluff-ended vehicles like these are magnets for snow, road dirt and all kinds of nasty and having a top-mounted wiper gives us a better chance of a clean rear screen.
And EU regulations state that the four ways have to be a button on the centre console (shame that they haven't mandated that heater controls should be illuminated physical buttons and knobs that you can operate without taking your eyes off the road.

If that new Atlas drives the same as the 1st generation, no thanks. I was provided a loaner in the past and it gave me and my passenger a feeling of dizziness. It reminded us of riding a small wooden boat as passengers across high waves of water between island hopping. I have none to say about Toyota GH nor the Mazda CX-90 since I never had interest of it.

Problems : central diff was locking, dealer changed the fluid, sims ok now, rust appearing on the roof near the windshield, rear shocks are starting to sweat. The worst thing, that the dealers don't care anymore. Don"t mention the jetta 2010 which I bought new at the time, holes all over the car from rust. Never again I will purchase a VAG product.

The wireless phone charger is less than useless. It will overheat your phone in less than an hour, and if you are using wireless music and navigation through the car, your phone will actually lose charge while it cooks on the "charger". There's no 12v outlets except one in the cargo area. There are USBC sockets, but they are in places where they are likely to be damaged. Poor design.
