In this video, we will show you two different methods to through which you could Install older APK files onto your device.
For reference purpose, we will be installing the first released build of Instagram and Facebook onto our device running the latest Android 14 OS!
The first method is via non-root with the obvious advantage being the fact that you don’t have to root your device to carry out this task. On the flip side though, you’ll need to take the help of PC every time you wish to install an older APK via this method.
If we talk about the rooted method, then the benefit is that you don’t need to interact with the PC, the app could directly be installed via your device itself. On the flip side, the caveat of this method is that you would require a rooted device.

Just to point out for others who might try this... beneath developer options, there's USB debugging AND another option "USB Debugging (security settings)" that needs to checked down below on the same page on Xiaomi HyperOS - Android 14 .... you also have to set your transfer mode to PTP...
If you don't do the above you will get the following error when running the adb install command:
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_USER_RESTRICTED: Install canceled by user]
and you must check "Installed via USB"

Bro for adb method bootloader is mandatory to be unlocked?
If the phone with sd 8 gen 3 it will not work in both method, because the chip it self didn't support 32bit apps. Very important point most users didn't get the point. Hope that help.

No the point is why any SD 8th Gen suddenly Unable to do so for ex redmagic 7, 7s, 7pro, 8, 8s, 8pro, cand but 9 could not so it my be a ui issue as well
In my poco x6 pro it has Dimensity 8300 ultra I guess it also doesn't support 32 bit

I got the apk for an app that I want to use and also got the APK Editor App from the link you listed on your website page in the description of this video. I managed to install the APK Editor App but, when trying to edit the SDK of the apk I want to install, I press Save but nothing happens... The targetSdk remains the same. How can I fix this? I'm using the SGS 24 Ultra. Thank you!

I don't know if you're still having the same issue, but all you have to do is, move the APK file into the "platform-tools" folder

Phone is too lack of ARM instructions set for new app. Example: ARM-v7a phone cannot support app that only use ARM-v8. Meaning, 32-bit phone unable to use 64-bit app

Edit : I did the root method and it worked but when i tried going into flappy bird, it said "This app isn't compatible with the latest version of Android. Check for an update or contact the app's developer." Pls help
