What song is that guitar riff at 0:56 from? Please i need to know
spaceDEMUNN Judy Clay - Private Number
So originally, as was previously pointed out, the OG origins of the original guitar riff...are credited to the Judy Clay song mentioned above.
HOWEVER, that was not the song that was sampled by Pretty Lights for the track, "Finally Moving". Therefore "Private Number" is NOT the specific, exact, origins you were actually seeking. The exact riff you're seeking, the riff that you heard in this Lance Herbstrong "Finally Moving" remix...was taken by PL, from a classic rap track.
Originally that rap song, had made it's own use of a Judy Clay sample in it's construction...and then PL would eventually sample that sample when constructing "Finally Moving".
IMO the rap song that PL sampled to create FM, is a timeless CLASSIC...and you've been missing out if you've never heard it before.
So, without further delay, for your listening pleasure....
