    I realized pretty quickly that you only need 2 neuts for any frig/destroyer to shut them down permanently. It took me a while to figure out that the reason none of my guns were hitting from ~18km because I was orbiting with my mwd on.
    Now that I'm older and wiser, I put on a gun for the 3rd slot and just keep at range 20km, knowing that I can always go faster than them to maintain distance, and also knowing that I out range every type of gun (and rocket) except light missiles with my tracking disruptor. No need to worry about tracking when you are doing keep at range.
    But, if you want to take on 2 or 3 enemies at once, then you need the 3rd neut to really screw up the partner of whoever you have tackled. It's hard to get close and maintain a tackle when you start getting hit with a 3 sec cycle neut on steroids while still 30km away.

    I like the addition of the kill mails in your video. Maybe it is something I will use in mine. Gives pilots an idea of what the Isk killed vs isk lost ratio is. Good job!

      It's also nice to see the other guys fit. Did he get the KM because it was a fail fit dram or slicer? With the KM we know if it was a GF or total rapage.

    Nice vid. I skilled into the Sentinel to 4 but have yet to take one out. I haven't seen many/any in action except for this one and was wondering how to fly it well. Thanks for the show!

    you can turn off that MWD once your opponent is capped out! other than that, great vid! One thing I don't like about the Sentinel is you get rarely fights with this hull, everyone runs away...I guess with Rubicon even the last one will avoid this ship... I still love this hull...

      @Preat  Před 10 lety

      Thanks for the feedback! I will do that from now on in solo fights with slower ships and after I cap out larger hulls. I can always turn it back on if it isn't working out.

    I guess I'm the only savage that relentlessly clicks on the pod every time to try and murder people after solo fights.

    • @Preat
      @Preat  Před 7 lety

      That's not savage, that's normal. I'm just so used to living in low-sec where the slow pods are quickly culled that it's usually of no value to pod them. True Savagery is podding people with a smartbombing battleship in a safespot between 2 stargates in the fraction of a second they flicker on your overview going 3 AU a second.
      There is no warning, no recourse, no escape, not even time to scream.

    btw, I haven't gotten a single Sentinel engagement since Rubicon. =(

      Hi Preat, one question, while you fight vs ships that use drones, example dramiel, do you focus on enemy drones as primary and then ship? or you dont care about thier drones and instant focus on ship?

    • @Preat
      @Preat  Před 10 lety +1

      ArcanaL0rd
      If you are lucky, they will use their drones to try and kill you. My fit has an Small Ancilliary Repper, so I can easily tank a full flight of drones from almost everything but an Algos or Dragoon. Also, by perma MWDing, the drones usually speed up to me, get off a volley, then turn off their engines and slowboat after me out of shooting range. Really messes with the drone AI, except for the speed bonus on the Algos and Dragoon.
      If they are smart, they will try and pop your drones with theirs. I have to choose between popping their flight of drones or just using my backup drones to power through his remaining hitpoints. It can depend on the number of enemies or how many cap charges I have left.
      Usually I just let him attack my drones then pick up his abandoned drones to replenish my dronebay. Nothing beats drone cannibalism.

    Do you find the need for a third neut often? It seems you two neuts and a gun may be better fit, but that's just from the cheap seats.
