KZ Tandingan is 27 years old from the Philippines. She joined x factor ph last 2012 if I'm not mistaken then she became a very well known singer up to now because of her unique voice. I suggest, you better watch all of her performance in Singer 2018. She is a total performer and I'm so proud of my fellow country men.

Autotune is to correct out of tune voices, but Reverberation is a sound effect to add echo and electronic or reverb quality to the voice.

Yeah I think she got a bad case of throat infection which destroyed her vocal cord. Though she can still technically belt, she lost the ability to sustain a very high falsetto voice so she had to lower down her key range

The same thing happened to me. I had a terrible case of flu which, according to my ENT, tore my vocal cords. I could not vocalize any sort of sound as nothing vibrated inside. I could not talk for two months, at least, and could not sing for the next two years. My singing voice did come back eventually, but no more falsetto and head voice. I had to compensate, and as a result, my chest voice improved a lot to the point of me being able to sing female songs in full chest. I know it doesn't make sense. But I reached the point of being able to sing songs like To Love You More, Alone, One Moment in Time, etc.
KZ Tandingan is one of the best singer/artist in the Philippines... she's not just singing the song, she sings it with a heart and she will make you feel the song... you must see, hear and enjoy her other songs like...

From what I've learned about auto-tune it is a system which is used after a studio recording to correct errors. In KZ'z case in Rolling in the Deep, it is a reverb or 'hard-tune like TC Helicon. Aside from the system used in the intro, KZ sure did use her artistic musical skills to enhance it further with her magical voice! Thank you for your critique. I appreciate your reaction.

Great reactions. Philippine has plenty of dialect & the Pilipino (Tagalog} is the national language. English is our second language & the 5th English speaking country around the world. All documents & laws are written in English . Some elite families are talking in Spanish. Most of Pilipino words were derived from Spanish words. Like Kumusta which in Spanish is como esta. She didn't use the autotune as a pitch correction device, which couldn't be used in a competition, but only as an obvious vocal effect on the introduction. Besides KZ's other performances from Singer 2018, also check out the performances of Hua Chenyu who was in the backstage shots, starting with "Nunchucks". He is the biggest star in China these days. Use the videos on the "Hua Chenyu Eng. subs" channel. Another good performance that year was Tengri's song "Heaven". There is also a short video of when KZ met Jessie J on the morning of this performance. Also on Singer 2018, in a guest appearance, Dimash covered Lionel Richie's "Hello". That is also something you wouldn't want to miss.
FYI, KZ Tandingan herself said in an interview that she use an autotune in the beggining of the song to catch the attention of the audience..

It was not autotuned (applied to correct a pitch)... "reverb" or "reverberation" was applied in her intro (it happens when a sound is reflected, sound hits a surface then bounces back to the listeners in varying times, producing an echo) but was turned off the moment she sang the 1st stanza till the ending...that really was her voice...❤😊
One of my favorite singer "Kz" she's a Filipina and actually the WINNER of X FACTOR PHILIPPINES. You can check her audition way back in 2012.
