I think the reasons why Arsenal have been struggling >> already hit the wall this season are as follows! 1) Arteta tried to fix a Team which wasn't broken, and in so doing made it substantially worse! 2) He allowed Xhaka to leave without replacing him, but instead plumped for a new player (Havertz) who isn't a like-4-like midfielder, and paid far too much for him! 3) Arteta killed an already injury prone Partey by playing him in 2 positions (RB & CM) from the start of the season! 4) Players like Nketiah & Reiss Nelson who we should have sold in the Summer: Arteta insisted we keep, and grant new lucrative contracts!! 5) Everybody in football could see that Arsenal needed a stellar striker....except sadly Arteta!!! 6) A new keeper was never a priority for us, and in freezing out Ramsdale (one of our leading characters!), Arteta created an unnecessary drama > controversy >> dressing room unrest which has only succeeded in having a cancerous effect upon our team morale >> spirit!!

I think it’s unfair to say that people who don’t believe in Arteta love failure. He has been in the job for quite some time now, and he’s spent money. If he doesn’t win this year, do you give him a fifth year? And if he doesn’t win anything by then, he’ll be 6 years in the job without winning anything.
I think the fact that they haven’t won the league in so long is the reason why that makes some people so anxious. They feel like they have a squad that is ready to win now, but they don’t believe the manager can get them over the line. It’s like how people feel about Southgate and England. They don’t want the opportunity to win to be wasted. Time will tell if they are right or not. Because 5 or 6 years in the job without winning is a bit obscene for a big club

Arteta came to us at our lowest, a few years is all it took for him to bring us to places no other manager has in decades. I have and will always trust the process. If it doesn’t come this year, a trophy will come soon. With that said, I feel incredibly confident with our current team and predict several major trophies sometime in the next few years.

The problem with Lee Gunner is that his 'Arteta Out' position didn't come about as a result of the latter's lack of coaching experience, tactical mistakes, missteps or perceived closeness with the Kronkes and their agendas. No replacing Arteta doesn’t guarantee that we will get better but it does show a willingness to change something as from the outside looking in as a fan it appears that not much changes or it does change but very, very slowly. Also the fact that Arteta has never proven himself elsewhere besides at our club -where he has brought in over 20 players in a 4 year period with ~650 million being spent on transfer fees…and yet has failed to win a trophy with what he can deem “his squad” as he has basically binned everyone that won him his only trophy - the FA Cup.
Also the fact that we’ve signed that many players but the only ones that are good are the first 11-14…the rest are a significant dip in quality and just have patches of good form, if even that…something that can also be said on the main 11-14 players - they do in a course of a season collectively throw up shit performances like they did in the bottlejob of Top 4 of 2021/2022, the bottlejob of the Prem of the 2022/2023 season, and the current shit football we’ve been playing for a decent part of this season and just managing to get the points and wins…but our luck on the wins we’ve managed to scrape by this season has recently seemed to run out.
Just because a manager is able to bring you to the brink of winning a trophy doesn’t mean he is the guy to get you over the line…or even the manager that is capable of getting the best out of the group of players he has at his disposal. Brendan Rodgers got Liverpool to the brink but wasn’t good enough to get them over the line, Pochettino got Spurs to the brink but couldn’t get them over the line, Roman Abramovich let Ranieri go even though he finished 2nd to our Invincibles…for the Special One no less.

If I was on the board or a higher up executive at the club I would ask him and/or the relevant people responsible on certain decisions taken and why there is a persistence and stubbornness to make them work such as:
* Why was Kiwior bought for ~25 million? Was he bought to play Left back or Center back? And given the fact he only really played 6 months consistently at Center back at Spezia in the Serie A, was that really a good sample size? And the minutes he played at Defensive Midfield and Center back are more higher and pale in comparison to the paltry minutes he played at left back there? What was the recruitment team’s thoughts on Kiwior when consultant Mauro Meluso initially recommended him to Arteta & Edu? Did they think that was a good deal with the money involved?
* Why do you persist on playing certain players through their ‘bad form’ such as Saka but don’t reward certain bench players’ good performances in the positions that they excelled in a specific game (like Reiss Nelson’s good performance at PSV @ RW)? What has happened to your rule about the ‘non-negotiables’? Do they work independently of on-field related match performances? And if so, how can that be a recipe for success in the encouragement of good performances in competitive matches as well as rewarding such performances ?
* Why haven’t you tried playing Zinchenko in the no.8? Given that he is very good in the build-up of play in midfield but at left back he lacks the defensive nous that leaves him a liability to the team and defence. This glaring weakness of his game which isn’t a new thing…this was a well -known trait of his defensive game from his time from Man City.
* Why did you spend 65 million of Kai Havertz when that money could’ve been used to reinforce key areas of our team? Especially when Kai hasn’t really justified that price tag except for some recent performances and an upturn in his form.
* Why have you kept certain players that could’ve been sold and used the money you gathered from their being sold to fund the strengthening of the depth and quality of our squad? Players that you say are important but yet when everyone is fit they barely get a sniff of minutes and for sure you wouldn’t even think about putting them into the first 11 to start a game to displace the out of form player(s) when a big game comes up. Players such as ESR, Nketiah, Fabio Vieira, Elneny, Jorginho, Nelson,etc.
Depending on how he answered these questions then I would move to remove either or collectively the people involved in the decision making of these areas. This could be Arteta himself, Edu, the head of recruitment, revamping and/or restructure the scouting department and how we go about correctly acquiring the right players and have a thorough system of filtering out players that are recommended by scouts, agents, consultants, and agencies, but aren’t good enough.
My choices to replace him are categorised in tiers. Tier One are more well-known managers that have substantially improved a team in a more well-known league. All of them except 3 (the 3 that haven’t are currently competing for their respective league titles and have shown an ability to radically transform their team’s capabilities in a short span of time with not as an absurd amount of money spent as Arteta has done) have led a team to a minimum of a league title.
In Tier Two we have a collection of managers who have won league titles (albeit in smaller, less prominent leagues), have either won promotion from their countries 2nd tier and immediately done well in the 1st tier (again in smaller, less prominent leagues/nations), or just have been doing really well in more prominent leagues at smaller scale clubs. Yet all these managers again have a track record either recent or more longer of having taken a fallen team or a small-to-mid sized club and improving them by a sizeable amount - and not needing 400-650 million and 3-4 years to do so.
Tier Three is similar to Tier Two but this tier has less title-winning managers, and the ones that have won titles (3 of them) again won them at less notable leagues. This list also has more “newer managers” that are new on the managerial scene but again have a track record of drastically changing their clubs fortunes without the need of substantial money being put in to overturn their respective club’s fortunes.
The tiered managers are as follows:
Tier One:
Ruben Amorim, Simone Inzaghi, Miguel Ángel Sánchez Muñoz, Diego Simeone, Luis Enrique, Xabi Alonso, Arne Slot, & Martín Demichelis.
Tier Two:
Eirik Horneland, Kjetil Knutsen, Francesco Farioli, Thiago Motta, Vincenzo Italiano, Abel Ferreira, Yuriy Vernydub, Yuriy Kalitvintsev, Miloš Milojević, & Hong Myung-bo.
Tier Three:

People like Lee, Turkish and Yardman are strongly unhappy having a rookie inexperienced Arteta as the manager from the start. They were being silenced when Arsenal finished second last season and just last week Arsenal finished top of the table at Christmas. Arteta are being pressured to bench Zinchenko, Gabriel Jesus and maybe later even the goalkeeper Raya would be the target. Arteta's system of play must not be disrupted. Unlike Pochettino and Ten Hag's old style of football, many teams in the PL like Villa, Brighton, West Ham and even Fulham have improved by choosing to play the modern style of ball control and possession football similar to what Arsenal has displayed successfully last season.
It’s a double edged sword with Lee. He’s not happy when we lose because (I guess) he still wants arsenal to win but that has no personal incentive & is outweighed by him wanting to tell ppl “I told you so.” When we win he can’t act like he knows the secret to success.

Arteta is the problem. Havertz £65m ? Odegaard is not releasing ball soon enough, attack is pedestrian. Why not put ball over top, no one is catching Martinelli or Saka. Make defence stay in our half, don't bottle challenges, tackle like you mean it, the girls put more into a tackle than our midfield.
