The Stoic Season - Second Skin (Chameleons Cover)

Felt like recording something after a short while in a post-punk/dream pop kind of vein, so I opted to do a cover for one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. Overall, I'm content with the results despite my inability to pull off the vocal style of Mark Burgess very well, heh.

I have been obsessed with this cover ever since I first heard it, probably half a year ago. I always have loved the original, but I think I love this even more than the original. I listen to your cover very often, whether I am in a really good mood or I am feeling down (and it makes me feel a bit better too). Although this was uploaded almost 8 years ago I hope you see this. It's my favorite cover of any song I have heard, you are absolutely amazing.

Has it really been 8 years already? I had honestly felt very humbled after reading your comment. It means the world to me, particularly for the reason if a cover that I did all that time ago can manage to benefit in picking somebody up from feeling down, even if a little. That's the highest compliment right there. I'm beyond flattered and, again, humbled that you like it so much. The original is one of my favorite songs and Script of the Bridge is one of my favorite albums, so thank you for thinking this cover even holds a spark to it.

Haha, thanks dude! If the mood and the atmosphere is there, I'm happy with that at least. Any regrets are mostly aimed at inexperienced mixing choices at the time. It's a bit too damn muddy, imo. Not gonna complain too much if you're digging it, though!
