Depends on where you work. I'm a union janitor at a state university and while the work is demanding, it's pretty chill and we have a lot of independence in how we go about finishing our work. I think the privately owned companies are what you want to avoid.

As a janitor of 10 years, I'd say that he could do janitor stuff, but just as long as I wouldn't have to talk to him. It isn't the hardest job in the world, it just takes time and not cutting corners and if you don'tdo those 2 things it is easy to see. The biggest problem I'd have with guys like him would be having to work with him and hear this insane shit everyday. I've worked with terrible people and just made sure to be around them as little as possible. What would most likely happen is he'd be let go after a few day.

Mr. Aronson used a police scanner and recorded the conversations of Mrs. Quigley who made anti-Semitic remarks. There were two issues with the ADLs approach: One is that the Aronsons didn’t know Congress amended federal wiretapping laws at the time which leads into a direct issue too: Since Mrs. Quigley nor her husband ever made direct threats - their case was pretty much DOA. Even Mr. Aaronson dismissed the idea that they lived in fear. The ADL has no business pursuing the case though I understand they were worried about anti-Semitism. But private conservatives are no ones business. When you start outing people who have an expectation of privacy especially in their own home - that’s where you lose my support. You need to either capture them on camera confronting you with their remarks if you’re pursuing a claim of [religious] intimidation and/or you have witnesses to corroborate your claims. The ADL didn’t do either and relied on something that ironically is something that strengthens the belief in their all-powerful/all-seeing control over the world.

I actually was a janitor for a while cleaning corporate offices and we had strict quotas and timelines. It's also physically demanding. We did multiple office buildings and had to clock out and back in at every building. It's far from the chill, casually mopping floors idea a lot of people have. And extremely exploitative
Depends on where you work. I'm a union janitor at a state university and while the work is demanding, it's pretty chill and we have a lot of independence in how we go about finishing our work. I think the privately owned companies are what you want to avoid.

I thought one of the big complaints from advertisers after the takeover had been that they struggled to get contact with anyone at Twitter over their concerns, given that Musk had fired those people.

As a janitor of 10 years, I'd say that he could do janitor stuff, but just as long as I wouldn't have to talk to him. It isn't the hardest job in the world, it just takes time and not cutting corners and if you don'tdo those 2 things it is easy to see.
The biggest problem I'd have with guys like him would be having to work with him and hear this insane shit everyday. I've worked with terrible people and just made sure to be around them as little as possible. What would most likely happen is he'd be let go after a few day.

The ADL definitely made a serious mistake in that case. For those that don’t know - the Quigleys and Aronsons (who were Jewish) got into disagreements about the behavior of their dogs. There was some further nastiness including Mr. Quigley allegedly driving his car toward Mrs. Aronson, who was sitting in her car, before he turned away. In court papers, Mr. Quigley contended that Mrs. Aronson was taunting him by blocking his passage; but Mrs. Aronson claimed Mr. Quigley was speeding to intimidate her.
Mr. Aronson used a police scanner and recorded the conversations of Mrs. Quigley who made anti-Semitic remarks.
There were two issues with the ADLs approach: One is that the Aronsons didn’t know Congress amended federal wiretapping laws at the time which leads into a direct issue too: Since Mrs. Quigley nor her husband ever made direct threats - their case was pretty much DOA. Even Mr. Aaronson dismissed the idea that they lived in fear.
The ADL has no business pursuing the case though I understand they were worried about anti-Semitism. But private conservatives are no ones business. When you start outing people who have an expectation of privacy especially in their own home - that’s where you lose my support. You need to either capture them on camera confronting you with their remarks if you’re pursuing a claim of [religious] intimidation and/or you have witnesses to corroborate your claims. The ADL didn’t do either and relied on something that ironically is something that strengthens the belief in their all-powerful/all-seeing control over the world.
ADL is not great. Plenty of cases where they attacked people for justifiable critiques of Israeli apartheid.
