- Clair De Lune piano Debussy Classical Piano Music by Debussy the French Meaning "Moonlight" Debussy was a master French composer. Clair De lune Debussy piano is the quintessential impressionist piano piece. Debussy Claire De lune Piano composition did evoke the musical atmosphere of “impressionism” as portrayed in the paintings of Claude Monet and in the poetry of Paul Verlaine. He is sometimes seen as the first Impressionist elegant composer with classical piano music although he rejected the term. He was among the most influential composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Born to a family of modest means and little cultural involvement, Claude Debussy showed enough musical talent to be admitted at the age of ten to France's leading Classical music college, the Conservatoire Paris. He originally studied the piano, but found his vocation in innovative composition, despite the disapproval of the Conservatoire's professors. He took many years to develop his mature style, and was nearly 40 before achieving international fame in 1902 Clair De lune Debussy Piano classical music simply pleasing to listen to. great piece he was a household name by many who still today enjoy Debussy piano music
Clair De Lune' is perhaps Debussy's best-loved piano piece - and that is saying quite a lot, given the wealth of his output for the instrument. Debussy's Suite bergamasque is made up of four movements, of which his beautiful Clair de lune piano is the third, after the 'Prélude' and 'Menuet', It is impossible to conceive of most of Debussy's piano music being written at a desk, or outdoors, despite his frequent use of “en plein air” titles. Writing music about water came naturally to Claude Debussy. Claude Debussy started wrote the incredibly romantic piano piece Clair de Lune in 1890 when he was just 28, but it wasn't published for another 15 years! The title means 'Moonlight' and the piece is actually part of the four-movement work Suite Bergamasque.
His father was a sailor and encouraged young Claude’s imagination with stories about vast waters and exotic lands. A family visit to Cannes, France fueled what would become his lifelong fascination with the many moods water can evoke as it moves.

In 1884, when he was just 22 years old, Claude Debussy entered his cantata L'Enfant prodigue The Prodigal Child in the Prix de Rome, a competition for composers. He took home the top prize, which allowed him to study for three years in the Italian capital, though he returned to Paris after two years. While in Rome, he studied the music of German composer Richard Wagner, specifically his opera Tristan und Isolde. Wagner’s influence on Claude Debussy was profound and lasting, but despite this, Debussy generally shied away from the ostentation of Wagner’s opera in his own works. simply a timeless piece Claude Debussy Clair De Lune piano superb composition it is one of the best classical piano music pieces

Debussy showed a gift as a pianist by the age of nine. He was encouraged by Madame Mauté de Fleurville, who was associated with the Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, and in 1873 he entered the Paris Conservatory, where he studied the piano and composition, eventually winning in 1884 the Grand Prix de Rome with his cantata L’Enfant prodigueAchille-Claude Debussy a master French composer.
