They may have found a male’s body, but mom keeps saying it’s a woman.
Transgender woman = a male that identifies as a female. It's important to know this so if found, and fits the description of Taylor, they will know it's Taylor.
@@Emy53 A male who identifies as a female is a male. That`s all they need to look for. If found dead, if he is in feminine clothing, that may help the i.d., but he may be without clothes or wearing masculine clothing...they just need the info he is a man.
I was looking for this information. You are so right... someone must have thought they had gotten a born woman but got surprise..which might not have ended well. Hope this individual is found. Prayers to family

There is video coverage of the 17 year old leaving his home voluntarily... walking on the street and seen on another camera near gas station...no connection to the American tourist...check the police report on the local TV in Nassau

I'm Bahamian. The voice note was a phone call recording of a high ranking police officer admitting to accepting bribes to protect known gang leaders on the street. That had nothing to do with this case

The voice note was between the Superintendent of criminal investigation and head gang member about not investigating a crime by he gang…..

It actually matters though… certain people target the trans population. Authorities initially thought they were looking for a woman. Keeping Taylor true identity a secret could have cost them the entire investigation.

According to someone from the Bahamas who commented, the notes had nothing to do with the missing person investigation. It involved bribery and a gang member.

I hate the media! This is so upsetting. That Ashram is very remote and is in no way easily accessible to the public for anyone to gain access to Taylor. You would need to be taken there by private boat or a ferry, which rules out Taylor get out of there easily or without being seen. It was a retreat...do they not go off the grid? How could Taylor's phone be found in the water at the beach if 1) No one realize Taylor was missing until hours later and 2) With the waters by that being as rough as it is known to be (has claimed many lives by drowning). I believe they dod something to Taylor...either intentionally or accidentally. Its near impossible for an outsider to gain access to Taylor without being spotted or having to risk their life in rough waters on a boat at night to get there. Those people should have been arrested and by the time the heat was placed on them, someone wouldve spoken up. Hate crimes are not our thing here in The Bahamas. You are who you are as long as what you do and how you live doesnt offend the elderly, children or the unwilling. Its clear why those from the Retreat who spoke stressed that Taylor was trans. They wanted to suggest a motive. They all need to be arrested

The mother has stated that Taylor is transgender.
Her mom said it in a interview with CNN that she was a transgender.
It’s obviously a man and the mom finally admitted it in an interview with news nation.
I wondered the same when I kept seeing people say “he” because that’s an awful rumor BUT it’s true. The mother and friends have confirmed. Idk why they kept it a secret… it’s easier to find someone and investigate when you know who you’re actually looking for.
Her mother finally said Taylor is transgender, she should have mentioned it in the beginning. Instead of calling her "Taylor" every 5 seconds.
