    I must be completely honest, as the son of a Swede, yours is the first music that brings me to tears. I have lived in America for the majority of my life but my father is from Stora Tuna in Dalarna and when ever I listen to you/both of you play traditional/ variant on traditional music from dalarna it brings a tear to my eye and joy to my heart.

    How do you get that mellow violintone? Is the bridge more big? Such nice overtones for the ear(not to many) And wonderful playing:)

    • @uelileuthold
      @uelileuthold  Před 3 lety +3

      Thank you! This is a quite normal violin, no different bridge, may be it is the playing style.

    Thank you so much for this! I 'm looking at this as a classical pianist in gothenburg. Any tips for how I can teach my students this kind of music? But anyway, thank you for an excellent performance!

    Could you tell me if Smorgasklickarna means something? For me it's a mix of Smaug from the Hobbit, the gas company and klicking on the computer!

    • @uelileuthold
      @uelileuthold  Před rokem

      Yes, "klick" on links (websites) and the swedish word for "blobs" after a "Smörgåsbord" remaining on the tablecloth. Smörgås is a swedish sandwich and we played many times for guests at a swedish buffet. It is a kind of fantasy name.

      Jens Wingren Hej Jens! Det går att använda ett stycke av den här låten. Men helst inte i kommersiellt syfte, så att vi inte tappar uppehovsrätt, dvs. CZcams blockerar våran video!

      Thank you very much! I just printed it and will start learning it. I play fiddle, piano and accordion in a band in Ottawa, the Lyon Street Celtic band. We play Irish, Scottish, Québécois and any folk music we can get our hands on. I live on the Québec side across the river. We don’t have any gigs or concerts at the moment because of the pandemic so I decided to start familiarizing myself with Swedish folk music and fell in love with it. I would love to get my hands on a nyckelharpa! Your harmonium is wonderful and blends very well with the fiddle. You both are wonderful musicians!

    • @uelileuthold
      @uelileuthold  Před 3 lety +2

      @@mariedeziel4004 Thank you! We had a look at "Lyon Street Celtic Band"s webplace. Real folk music from your country representing Canada as a "meltingpot". Nice! Do you have more recordings or clips to listen to? If you are looking for sheet music of scandinavian tunes, check our website www.nyckelharpa.ch and then choose "Links". There you will find four sources of sheet music related to scandinavian folk music. It is all over the same problem - CORONA: No gigs or concerts even here. Very sad! All the best to you! Greetings from Europe!
