Glad to see that all the crew are safe and uninjured. Also great to see the other teams kicking in to assist. I know they’re professionals but this shows the true spirit of Corinthian ethos.
Enjoying reliving the memories of watching this from the first time round. Terry being polar opposites of your stereotypical American, the help they had on they day, even pizza's delivered to them once they where crawling home. Then their determination to repair, and the help they got in the repair, it was inspiring.... And lets not forget the thank-you graphic on the site of the repair of 2 band-aids made up of NZ, Italian & British Flags, a real class act.
Stinging tears for me. Heaving a sigh of pride from the response of the others in rescue mode. Patch it and get in the waters again. Love it all❤🇺🇲
Terry is such a great guy
A real man, humble, respectful, and a true leader
This situation showed that the heart of the cup was back and not lost in the courtroom.
Great skipper, Terry. Great poise, upbeat attitude, and a total team guy--hiding his bitterest regrets and sparing the team (especially Barker) any undue criticism.
American Magic were the fastest boat in the Vuitton at that stage of the campaign, and only heaven knows what they might have done--shoulda', woulda', coulda'.... It's a small sporting tragedy, since they didn't need to be aggressive in that race, let alone at that mark rounding. If Barker had said the words 'bear away-gybe,' it may well have changed the outcome of the America's Cup.
Wow. What a great team and great community. I'm really glad Terry got out ok.
And that is why sailing is so much better than any other sport in terms of sportsmanship 😅😂❤❤😊
Sono state delle regate bellissime, abbiamo scoperto queste nuove barche volanti, tutti gli equipaggi sono stati bravissimi🎉
Very rough, Patriot was insanely fast at a stage!
IMHO. This is testament to how incredibly tough it is to get to the top of the Americas Cup. If you have a bad week, or even just a bad day, you´re out. There is no sport in the world being so hard and ruthlessly tough as an Americas Cup Campaign. I am looking very much forwards to see you guys in Barcelona 2024 😎
Good luck in Barcelona guys!!!!!!!
I don't much like Americans ... but you impress .. thank you

Why isn’t the boat made same as a Boston Whaler where all floats even if in pieces?
Great video and editing. Terry Hutchinson's perceptive words are an inspiration.
They should design like a long fin thing straight down out of the bottom of the hull and maybe put a weight on it. Might help it from tipping over.
The one on the stern? That's the rudder. But besides steering the boat, it also has a horizonal wing which controls the fore and aft Pitch of the boat.
@@timwilson1339 haaa... I was being sarcastic. Was describing a keel. You know, like real sailboats have?
Why don’t all crew have pony bottles? Drowning is not necessary and it happens too often.
Obviously not enough air-tight bulkheads.
Radical vessels like that not acceptable at sea.
If the incident hadn't happened, could American Magic have won the America's Cup?
It was looking like they were the fastest boat at that stage. But no way of knowing because as the 34th cup showed, it's not over till it's over.
Only in your dreams.😊
I personally don't think they would have, but they would have had a shot at it.
I think the Kiwis had the overall fastest boat in the conditions that the later races took place in. American magic was really fast in mid to high winds, but not at the moderate range. and rhey didn't have everything nailed down to instinctive routine like the other teams had.
Very emotional interview. Great respect.
It´s not the fastest boat in that stage of the Louis Vuitton Cup that wins, it is the team that is best at constant improvement and improving every day. Most teams are very much faster towards the end of the campaign, compared to going into the campaign. I guess impossible to understand how well American Magic would have been doing at the constant improvement process.
Honestly, I don´t think so, Team NZ was insanely fast, insanely well drilled and hardly ever did mistakes of any sort.
They're at it again, amateurs the lot of them, go NZ.........
Has America ever won the Cup?
@@timwilson1339 American has won the cup 32 out of 37 competitions. This was before Australia and NZ were invented. BTW The cup began in 1851 - exactly 100 years before my birth.
@@rcpmac Rhetorical- But thanks.
Absolutely nothing to do with that helicopter that swept by at 5 metres asl?
@@rcpmac😂😂before aussie and nz were invented..😂😂.....
But seriously, apart from 2013 why haven't the Americans been able to win in it back in succession?
Also why haven't the aussies launched a successful comeback to win again since 83' ?
