Hi, in AX 2012 we report as finished by using View -> Journals - Report as finished - Create new button. This button creates a new journal and goes to lines automatically. I don't see this button in D365. Is there a way to enable it?
Hi Vipin, when we create the production order and estimate the same, we can verify the cost group in the overview costing tab. For me, the cost group is populated as M9. Would like to know where is this set up auto populating from? could you clarify this?
Hi, this cost group is populating from Production control > set up > cost groups, here the direct materials cost group is there and M9 would have been set to default. Also if you add various operations than those cost groups will reflect too , because you will tag the cost groups in the Production control > set up > cost categories and these cost categories will be attached to individual operations.
Hello vipin, I created Production order, when I click on Start, I am getting error for item like inventory dimension warehouse is a primary input/output dimension and must consequently specified. Inventory dimension location must be specified Status must be specified.
Charges on production can be like labor charges, overhead charges etc can be added by configuring "Costing sheet" and yes if serial numbers are produced then addition step of "registration" is there. Click on registration, add serial numbers and you are good to go.

There are fields in the BOM lines where you can define scrap %.

In your stages, you left out SCHEDULED (Created, Estimated, Scheduled, Released, Started, Reported As Finished, and Ended)
