09’ / 10’ has the most fluid and responsive running attacks / style. That shit alone kept me playing for many years. I hated how they made it less weighty as the years went on.

Another thing I like about NCAA ‘10 over ‘14 is that when using asking “Ask Corso” he highlights one specific play even though there are pages of plays.
I got ‘09 he do it on there too 💯 old games way better than the new garbage they put out today 😂

I remember this game fondly. It was a ton of fun to play. I really hope that the people working on the new game listen to what we’re looking for in an NCAA game because a lot of the things you highlighted could be added with a mix of the older games to make it an excellent series.
For sure, can’t wait for the new game to drop. I’m sure they will add a lot of the features from the older games and even tweak them to be better. New team for this game so I’m sure they will be awesome
I think that the main feeling that people enjoyed was a sense of a clear improvement....a tangible improvement over the previous years game in some form or fashion....I feel that that is completely missing from Madden in the past decade is that there have been tweaks but they've been minor and they've been behind the scenes and not totally felt in the gameplay and I'm not even starting about the abomination that is mut

I got a PS3 I recently picked up...and yes NCAA 14 is so overpriced right now and over hyped...I been considering which NCAA football game to pick up that is not 14....I was leaning towards picking up NCAA 12 but now this got me thinking that I should pick up NCAA 10. Thanks for the video.

I played the hell out of ncaa football games from ncaa 06 up to probably whatever was the last one on ps2. I loved the games especially dynasty mode. I remember being baffled as to why they seemingly put less and less effort into each game. For instance 06 has a solid soundtrack that I still listen to sometimes. The next few games were just college fight songs. Hell, in 06 they had a sweet highlight reel going in the main menu.
I totally agree this game was pretty good for my first NCAA football game and I couldn't stop playing it for a while

Ncaa 13 has a lot of these things, which is why 13 is my favorite, love the recruiting, the gameplay, everything about it really

Coach mode on 13 was waaay better. So many more options before plays. Move defenders, send on a blitz, change coverage

NCAA 12 for me is the perfect go between 10 and 14. It has many of the features of the older titles (louder crowd and home field shaking play art) and the better player movement and physics of the later titles. #EANCAA12 🏈🏈🏈

10 has always been my favorite behind 14 on the 360/PS3 era. First one I played on that gen but honestly was the most balanced and true to life of any from having to fight for low-level recruits as bad schools, injury and subs that work, penalties, more difficulty outside of Heisman that's challenging, presentation was great and I honestly thought the graphics looked more real-life than 14 which looked more acardy. I forgot about a lot of these but it's crazy people either forgot or don't know lol. You can get it for dirt cheap too. Thanks to you and USRG for giving it a well-deserved shine and attention
Man I agree, the subs working is huge, I’m 14 there aren’t enough subs, plus penalties are actually Called in this game, brings games to life
@@TnJonCZcams I think the game has way too many player injuries as the AI Players on Defense do dirty hits against my players like it’s bountygate, Players fumble way too much, AI uses catch up logic by returning kickoff touchdowns whenever I would get a lead when I need it most, OL is terrible and they cannot protect my QB While I’m running for my life against two 300 Pound Lineman running towards me like cars in the street, I can’t run the ball either since OL is trash. I would honestly trade places with someone who’s experiencing kidney stones than watch my players fumble repeatedly. Nothing goes the way I need it to when winning.

Both you and USR convinced me to give this game a chance, I'm thankful for it since I actually enjoy this game as much as NCAA 14 if not more.
It makes me so happy to see this game coming to life again because the is the first video game I ever played and the only NCAA I played until I bought NCAA 14 in 2020, for 10 years, this was the only ncaa I played.

I really am loving ncaa football 08 . Like it has alot to offer on the Xbox 360. I can block the guy infront of me and switch off that person to tackle the guy with the ball . And that is something that has me attached to it right now .
My favorite all-time feature in any NCAA football game; was the On The Fly Audible selection. Came in super handy when you played friends 1 on 1 on the same console.

My favorite NCAA besides 14. It’s so good. I have so many good memories playing this one.
Great game feature wise. Only thing that got me about it (and most in that PS3/XBOX 360 Era, mainly those 06-10) was the players felt stiff and gameplay felt sluggish
I didn't play until NCAA football 11 but this one looks cool. People like myself play 14 a lot cause it was the last game made but I think the previous games were better in terms of recruiting.

I wouldn’t say injuries happen EVERY play irl. But they do happen more often than they’re portrayed in games this era. But other than that I agree %100, definitely the best NCAA game. Plus the road the glory feature and being able to transfer your player over to Madden
I would say there is a minor injury every play or at least a build up to an injury.
Smh growing up my ncaa days was just playing my brothers 1v1 and mostly rtg I wish I really dealt wit the mode you can recruit ppl to your school ect

I am in agreement waaayyy better than 14 I love the passing in this game. The receivers actually catch and can make acrobatic catches. Calling recruits and whats important to them is gold.
Was a good game but 13 and 14 were the best. Running mechanics were old in this game and drastically improved after this game
Definitely agree on NCAA 14…. It was definitely retconned into being beloved bc it definitely only got moderate reception at release
In fact there was a time where we had basically chalked it up that 15 would run much better in their second year with the physics engine. Unfortunately that never came.

I bought NCAA 06 all the way to 13 from a video store that shut down a couple years ago. 20010 is the the best 0ne hands down
10&11 the greatest. 12 is good, 14 is really good, 13 has weird madden physics where they changed the physics engine.
I bought this game cheap for PS3 because NCAA 14 stopped working on me. Very underrated game

I’m pretty sure fighting for yards after contact was also in the PS2 games as well before 2010. I remember doing that in 06 (Bush cover). I remember the impact players “puddle” would also contract when he was in the zone.
I loved phone calling a recruit before it was jacked up with the stupid Russian roulette wheel before going away. I can't think of how many times the later games would pick a topic the prospect wasn't interested in and your school wasn't good at.
I’ve been playing NCAA 14 a lot lately. I don’t think it’s the greatest by any stretch. I think it’s glorified because it was the last one made. The game presentation just isn’t there. It doesn’t feel like a college football game like the old ones did. The DBs will hit super speed and glitch through WRs to break up a play while the WR just stands there. I think it’s fun, but the game as a whole is just meh, in my opinion.
I agree. Used to own 14, but sold it. It’s a good game, but the older ones where they’d come out of the tunnel and have the band playing etc had the atmosphere. I play these games more lately than my Xbox series s or my gaming pc. I own madden 21 and have played madden 22 as well. But those games just stink compared to the ncaa games in my opinion. EA needs to essentially clone ncaa 12 and update the graphics, uniforms and dynasty mode and it would sell like hot cakes.
This game was fun, the biggest issue I have with the older editions is the fact that they don't allow you to edit conferences or BCS tie-ins. I do prefer the old school recruiting though, I was never a fan of the point system recruiting that the newer basketball games and NCAA 14 had. Hopefully we get the best of both worlds in the series reboot game.
Try out ncaa 12. I have ncaa 10, 12 and 13. I did have 14 but sold it for double what I paid. But at least in 12-13 you can customize conferences. 12 is nice because it may be semi realistic on recruiting. If you talk for an hour, each activity is 10 minutes. So to offer a scholarship or make a promise is 10 minutes. For the conversation they randomly skip to topics as though you were talking to them. But you can change topics up to 3 times per call.

NCAA Football 10 and 11 are the ones I played and had the most fun with in the gen 3 era

Biggest issue with ncaa14 is the recruiting was super raw because it was the first year of the point system
After NCAA football 07 the PlayStation 2 era. They dropped Division 1 Teams that was a disappointment.

ncaa football 10, i remember this game well, the introduction to teambuilder and all.
one thing i weirdly remember is me trying to find fight songs for each team, and realizing they had fcs fight songs without fcs teams in the game (unless you had the ps2 version) and the new generic fight songs they added in the year prior.
They had FCS teams you could use in an EA game???

but with the ps3 and 360 version there were no fcs teams despite their fight songs being included in said versions. ex: jackson state, grambling, brown, bethune cookman
the ps2 version didn’t have certain fbs teams’ fight songs like stanford, troy, fiu, etc

Ncaa football 14 gameplay might’ve been the best but it really lacked everything else like recruiting in 14 took away everything but 09 and 10 had everything!
Defense on 14 is trash tho. CPU cheeses with out routes and corner routes. It’s annoying.

CH2K8 legacy mode has mf high school basketball and recruiting. It’s definitely super deep if you actually play it/research
