I learned by trial and error for years, then your videos. My brother is a certified tree faller. He's definitely consistently better than I am, but now he's calling me for the "goofy" drops because I can do those better due to your videos. And despite working together for 2 years, he still gets nervous about me pinching a bar when I do those compression cuts, even though he's never seen me pinch one.
Buckin, maybe you can you rotate the power switch on your makita 180 degrees? Make the stop & run switch to the same postion to your Huskys. Good to see you back at it!
Alright Buckin! What a talent you have for falling and chopping, great video. With all the mechanization of the industry these days there’s less and less people making a living with a tape and a saw as you are well aware, but I’m sure many of our friends in this community haven’t seen much of the process before so thank you for sharing. You make it look beautiful. Also, you are doing a great job pointing out important information for those of us interested in learning more. I’ve met lots of experienced older guys in different trades that don’t even know what they know, so the fact that you can put it into words and share with others it a precious thing. I wish you safe cutting and continued healing. Love you and everyone here.
Billy ray, i love you, brother! Watching you fall and buck is like the best thing ever to watch. I bought a holtzforma 372xp and i put a long bar on it so i can stand up and buck just like you. Too bad you live so far away. I would love to be able to learn how to fall timber with you. I dont have very much experience cutting, but I learned a lot from watching you. I also wish i had a relationship with my dad the way hogan has with you. I love you buck. Its always great to see you
It just baffles me watching you on a saw Buckin I guess I do the same when people watch me tape a house and say you make it look so simple You are a professional at yours the same as I am at mine . Love to watch you fall and buck But I’m learning from you and greatly appreciate it Thanks man
A feller in Romeo’s or flip flops keeps the cab in 1 piece. Thanks for the tease, makes me want to dream of felling another unit at a show from days gone. I was a feller in a spot that became a town, got its own mill, 70 square miles of show.
Glad to see you back on the stump I love watching you cut always learn a lot from watching you hopefully we will be getting to see more tree cutting now that spring is upon us as always love watching your tree cutting videos.
You have been such a good teacher in your videos, that i knew exactly what you are going to do, and that is buck from the top. Greetings from Zagreb, Croatia
AWWW- righty then. We got Mr, BBR still fallin' trees like a boss! Nice vid ta start me Sat. nite, thanks! Ya'll krep preachin' the message, keep livin' the message! Go commit an unreconstructed kindness for somebody! AMEN...
Good to see you back on the stump buddy! It’s been a hot second but I’d stay you still have some leprechaun left in you. Love to you and the family buckin❤️
Funny how them young fellas think they’re invincible. 16 years in and I can tell you the ole body isn’t what it once was. Pain has become a normal thing. Gotta be worse for y’all. Ole buckin hasn’t missed a beat. Jump right in and makes a perfect undercut. Didn’t even need to clean out. Clean 🧼 always fun watching a pro work his gift.
I used to wear strap on corkers, while working on cedar shingle roofs. Definitely necessary in certain situations. Good looking stumps! Rock out with the saws out!
Мой Штиль мс180 тоже так шустро научился валить деревья правда раз в 5 меньше😜 топоры научились легко дрова колоть! Вы замечательный учитель и своим внутренним теплом заряжаете позитивом 🇺🇦🇨🇦💪
We don’t use it over here, so when I try it I always chase it around the tree and throw off my aim lol. Traditional notch is pretty easy though just because the saw is weighted that way
I tried a couple of the newer huskys the handlebars throw me off too much, have to stick with my 372s. Glad to see you back at it! love it! been here since the start! I also love how far you have come as a normal fella just cuttin trees! Also have to tell ya, I remember a while back you talking about how loggers are pretty bitter in this industry lots of hate and negative energy/talk about everything, It is 100% true anywhere you go it is a hard life to live, work hard every day suns blazing winds blowing rains pouring snows slamming every year it is easy to earn a hate for the lifestyle but at the end of the day we still love it somehow. Your positive energy brings all of us together I have a much better attitude now days while logging after watching your channel I always try bringing my logger buddies up every day instead of the daily hate my life speach.

My wife couldn't believe the first time she watched me put on a neoprene brace/support of any kind, but it saved me a plenty. Around 60 the body can use a little support. 🙏🤝🏼 Stay safe and upright friend
Good morning Buckin Billy Ray, it's REALLY GREAT to see you dropping trees and Buckin. Seems like it has been all winter since you were able to do this. Love you and love to all.
Great to see you out cutting in a video again! Hope you continue to heal. BTW, what an awesome view that place had! Reminds me of our home here in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. USA.
I can see you've got that glimmer in your eye and a glow about 'ya. Glad to see you making stumps again. BTW, I just came back from Alberta and took the time to find some Douglas Fir. You were right about the pitch. Glorious smell!

Bang on with the undercut. The way you guys over there line up those humbolts is impressive.
