- The LATV Recon can be quite fun to drive...most of the time. Comparing "military" transports on the battlefield to previous Battlefield titles when it comes to roadkill shenanigans it's back up there with the original CAV from BC2 and close to the DPV in Battlefield 2. The DPV on the harbor flag of Dragon Valley was an absolute menace to anyone spawning there.
Why don't air vehicles or I guess specifically helicopters get disabled like they used to? They would basically become slowed down in the air, have less control and if you weren't careful ( moved around too much ) you'd be put into an almost unrecoverable dive. Did pilots become so bad they need DICE to help them even more by removing such mechanics for them but keep them in for ground vehicles because...reasons? Don't worry the question is rhetorical, BF1 is the answer and it's pretty clear. Watch few early BF4 videos I put up with the transport choppers and you'll see me basically try to hover or keep it steady after being disabled. Also included times when there was nothing I could do to save it because it was disabled and fell into that unrecoverable dive.
For clarification with the example of vehicle disabled at the end of this video I was stepping on the gas or holding the forward key for vehicle movement the entire time but you can see the speed and movement of the vehicle is limited greatly.
It's a bit strange to hear Angel say "Good one" when roadkilling an enemy player since he is the Specialist I'm playing as so that means he is saying that to himself or about himself. Yes I know it's a Battlefield game, applying logic to anything breaks the game but voice lines can be a nuisance to in-game audio.

I dont know why they made it so the corpses of your enemies cling to the LATV like a floppy trophy but I love it
Rag dolls have been hilarious since BC2 man. It’s probably the best feature DICE carried over for each BF title.
After seeing that character dangling from the rear it would be funny if they added car charms.
Would probably be more interesting than gun charms, also could be hilarious if physics gets applied to them.

@@jslberto A lot of the people who would react or "rage" in the in-game chat are also often times the people who would be unaware that they need to enable or turn on the all chat feature since by default it is disabled and it wasn't in the game until well over a year after the game's launch.

7:54 why the armor thing shows up. I always wondered but I just chalked it up to maybe it counts vehicles as armor like how irl the latv is a armored vehicle, but that's just me.

Sad to see they made latv less enjoyable while not improving on the obvious parts like more coverage in the back and front seats to easy shots.
I mean, come on Rav, helicopter pilots need all the help they can get. After all, they're constantly being railed out of their minds.

Awesome vids! I hope the following question is ok to ask here. I play on xbox and just rented a server for BF4 to replay some of my fav maps (nostalgia, lol). Driving around the map with the LATV is seriously some of the most fun I've had in the 1000+hrs I have in 2042. Maintain full speed as much as possible and I would easily get 20-30 roadkills in it a round 😂😂
8:54 you get double hit markers, one in the centre of the 3rd person view, and a second to the right - from the position if in 1st?
That is a ghost hitmarker bug. I've brought it up with the developers before but basically with roadkills it will show a hitmarker over the vehicle when you roadkill and one at the location of where you got into the vehicle originally. Been like that since launch actually.
I noticed that your keybinds are a bit "weird" and i wonder if you play with your keyboard sharply angled? just curious

I think we stopped playing it many versions ago. Like before the first in-between era ( Cold War? ) game. The SBMM loop cycle with the seasons and console aim assist was certainly exhausting but we or at least I was bored of it. There was nothing new and they kept going away from more fun, skill, challenging playstyles ( sniping and going for headshots quickly ). The ADS/scope in times for sniper rifles were so slow you could run to get a drink out of the fridge or start a cup of tea/coffee before it finished. I haven't seen anything in the recent versions that jump out at me as interesting or going in a better direction so at the moment I don't have an interest. I do miss the death comms though :P

Visual and physical shield. People tend to panic or not know what to do when viewing an oncoming vehicle and they can't visually see the driver so they don't know what to shoot at. Physical because it can absorb a few bullets, they keep making the same mistake since BF3 and give the health and ammo boxes themselves HP that can be damaged by various sources. I've shown many examples over a bunch of Battlefield games why this is a mistake or a problem since they never address the core issue.

Now? Nothing really I don't spawn it in myself anymore since they nerfed it so many times. So sometimes when I steal one I'll give it a go and see what kind of shenanigans I can get up to.

I know 2042's automatic weapons are generally not your type but have you tried the G36 yet? The gun is excellent for microbursts and can 5 stk up to 150m with HP rounds, which should fit very well with your old BF playstyles.

@Ravic it was mostly ads. Only noticeable things were sega working on jet set radio and older games. Monster hunter wilds was announced. Looks more open world and you can carry two weapons. GoD VA roasting CoD campaign. That's is all really
