I’m in the middle of consolidating and simplifying my business as well. I found there’s no sustainability as a mom of 4 and multiple business owner if my structure and processes are complicated. When I lived as a Buddhist Monk I'd do a recap of the year every year.
Funny thing was that it always seemed to be the same thing: Meditation, meditation and more meditation :)
Now as I've come back to society I see how different the values are when it comes to describing a successfull year.
Having started a youtube chanel to share my experiences and basically do what I did while I lived as a monk definetely counts as a win for me, together with becoming a father.
Have been watching your videos for a while and they have helped me alot.

Hi Vanessa, as usual, this video has a ton of valuable infor. The only downside to it is the B-Rolls with the many light flickers and noise clips which takes away from the overall experience and concentration to what you are saying. Sorry for this negative feedback.
Hi Vanessa ! Super excited to see you again this year ! Little feedback for your editor : the sound effect used to show text is annoying to hear, especially with headphones. It's very difficult to listen to such a long video when a really uncomfortable sound goes in your ears every minute 💔

2023 is my year! I will be a licensed psychologist soon, completing my doctorate, running and expanding my group practice, creating an online course, having more of a presence on social media, working with the government supporting mental health and addiction programs, working with doctors in the community to educate them on mental health, as well as set myself up to spend more time with my 2 year old son 💜💜💜💜
I’m grateful for my stress just as much as I am my successes. Thank you ❤

2023 IS MY YEAR!! Once again, dear woman, you have given so much and I absorbed every ounce of it. Thank you for always sharing your heart and soul so that we can learn from you and ALL the things that help you grow. I'm on the slow and steady growth path (single mama of two, running a biz, being careful not to reach overwhelm or burnout because quality and quantity time with my kiddos is numero uno) so I treasure learning from you to keep me stretching without breaking. One day (when the kids are mid-teens) I will be at the point where I'd be a great candidate for your mastermind....and I'm coming with bells on!
First of all, your thumbnail is EPIC!
Secondly, there are two things I keep in mind in business regardless of my prior succuss:
1. What do you wanna be known for?
2. What do you want to be remembered for?
1. You're going to be known for by your content and business Vanessa during your life. It's basically, when people say, "Yeah Vanessa is a _____." Or "She does ____."
2. You will be remembered by your deep purpose such as the love you gave through your craft.
You can control both.
And whenever I get lost, I ask them two questions.
I'm other words, you are awesome and are never lost because you gave a TON!
Relying on mentors and not trusting myself was one of my biggest lessons I learned in 2022 as well.

I just found out I have Hashimotos and Hypothyroidism last month. Fatigue has been the hardest thing for me. I am always mad at myself As an entrepreneur, I really struggle with that. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I feel less alone❤️

Dear Vanessa, it's so weird and amazing to see how you summed up you want to focuse on "dicipline". The last few days I've been doing inner work again (super tiny steps, confronting my biggest fears and regrets of 2022... slowly coming back from avoiding literally everything) and came to the conclusion that I want to "Chose the pain of dicipline (instead of the pain of regret/comfort)".

After 46 years as a Computer Programmer/Analyst (I'm retired now)... One thing I learned from my clients is : "A Client will forgive ANYTHING except NOT GETTING A STATUS about what you're doing for them". When you call your client and you havent talked in over a month, the very first words out of your mouth should be:"Hi Bobby, how's everything going, HOW'S THE FAMILY? Everybody doing OK?". I started uploading content to youtube in ernest in Novenber 2022 and looking forward to applying your recomendations.

Looks like both of us had "taking uncomfortable action" and "inner work" as the core themes in 2022, and both of us want to follow through our words in 2023. Buddhism helps a person look into their inner self and know how to relax regardless of how much money you have, especially the entrepreneur: Enjoy the peaceful life - not just about making as much as money as you can but about caring about your health (both physical and mental) and family (balance life), less challenges and less competition to free yourself (less stress). "Not live to work (to death)", but "live to enjoy the life journey (a meaningful life)". "Mindfullness" and more.

This is incredible. I’m a Mindset Coach for Millennials and this is exactly the kind of inner-work that I work on with clients. Especially with entrepreneurs.
