- Scammers are using friendship, fake cryptocurrencies and text messages to con millions of dollars out of unsuspecting victims. An increasingly common scam known as “Pig Butchering” is targeting professionals.

*ExposeGadgets* I wished I could shake your hand. I'm a 61 year old disabled woman. A few months before the pandemic I was stalked and harassed on the phone by an Indian scammer. Sad thing is he wouldn't have gotten a red cent from me. I live from check to check. I thank you for what you are doing especially for the elderly and the vulnerable that can't stand up for themselves. My stalker finally gave up after I told him I'd love to hold him down and wash out his filthy mouth with lye soap until he cried for his momma.
It's sad to know there are so many people in this world that have no conscience. I wished I could contribute to your campaign. Please keep doing what you are doing. Thank you!

Maybe because I've been in Internet for decades. I got this kind of messages, and I know they are bait; just don't know what they will do next. Usually I block the number and report junk. Sometimes I played with them to see what they want.

I know one person who lost $1,000,000 and they wanted $850,000 more to get the person's money back. They came out of Vancouver, London England and Vietnam.
I was a victim too but *JamesMillerHack* helped me recouped my funds back and I got back my normal life once again.

Literally whenever people ask me my nationalitv I just tell them I'm British because idiots like these give us a horrendous reputation, not to also mention they scam other indians too. This just happened to me last week. I was very suspicious and wanted see what happens. I even video chatting with an attractive girl that claimed to be the person I was texting with. By the middle of the week, they were already trying to get me to buy into Crypto. SMH

This is not just targeted at women. I recently sent a friend request to a beautiful looking woman on FB and was quickly accepted and she messaged me a few hours later to say hi and said she had checked out my profile and pics and that I seemed nice. I was a little shocked and flattered, and that would be all ok, but then soon saw that all of her own photos are extremely limited and in a sense very "canned" meaning looking like stock images pulled off the web. She only has a very small amount of personal images, which on one hand I could totally understand because I could imagine how some very beautiful women don't want to get harassed and bothered. Some people want to stay private. I am actually one of those people and use a fake name but I also have a lot of various personal images online. She on the other hand has pictures that look set up and obviously not likely to be taken by this person. "She" had become very chatty and friendly so I've been the same in return just to feel out the situation. In our private DMs she quickly sent various photos that don't really add up when carefully examined and in general it all just seems "off". And sure enough, early in conversation there's been a mention that she makes money on the side in crypto. I'm playing dumb to see where all this is headed but I think it's obvious where it's headed. It is fascinating just to watch it unfold though. I've had scam attempts before, ..but none like this. If they were just a little sharper and more careful it would be pretty believable. Maybe I'm just a sucker for a pretty face, but I know a scam when I see/read one and this has all the red flags.

As an Indian, it breaks my heart to know that almost 90% of these scammers are from India.
