Just got a quote. True is they brought in a nice product. Real thick impact windows that almost zero heat goes through. 15 windows and 2 double doors later. They told my wife, after a bunch of "discounts" $93,000. I wont even mention the company. Needles to say, I have a few more companies coming in.
Thank you so much for this. I am in the middle of a small project consisting of 2 double casement windows and I found the installation to be overly expensive. They are charging me $750 per window. 1 is on the 2nd floor and the other on the 3rd. This helps me feel a little better. I feel I picked an excellent window, the Ideal Platinum double casement with the EMS+ Glass package and the installation company has great reviews, I was just shocked by the price.
I do installitations. The cost of that is on point due to the company if they are using scaffold this will increase your prices. Third floor is defenly scaffold. Dont get me wrong they migh use ladder but they will still chare for scaffold.
Nation windows is installing 11 windows and 1 patio door on my house next week double glass windows with a gas inside they told me to prevent the heat or cold go through and windows black the outside and white the inside for $20k is thats too much or thats ok price??? cause for me is too much but with had another company before for $39k same work and i said nooooo😮....by the way i live in texas lol
Hey Clarence, retro window replacement means leaving the original window frame in, and install a new window inside of and covering that original window. It saves customers money so they don’t have to break stucco or pull siding to do a nailing flange window. Good vinyl windows do not leak, if installed properly.

As an architect I didn't learn much from this video. Going to look into marvin vs. pella. vinyl leaks. don't want to do it twice.
