As someone who has been playing Ghoti for quite a bit now: new level 2 and 6 are 1 offs for me.
I really really dislike the shark version. I'm using the Supay/Assault engines and since they set up your basic interruptions without normal summoning (potentially), you can run Beautunaful.
Beautunaful can Tutor Keeper or Leafless. Leafless by itself sets up a level 8 synchro on opponent's turn.
Keeper can tutor Coleceanth if in hand.
First imprssion: The lv. 6 is insane, the lv. 2 is ok and the lv. 4 synchro is not worth playing imo.
the level 4 synchro allows you to make non fish synchro, like baronne. it allows the deck to not rely solely on fish
@@Alcadeias90 Its effect to summon the tokens has the ristriction that you can not summonmonsters from the extra deck for the rest of the turn except for fish monsters.
@@Lyricaon yeah you make barrone and then on the turn after you can make askaan with your tuners and the tokens
An extender that might be worth testing is Rare Fish (and Allvain) with Instant- and Readyfusion
And some thought's in general:
- Coelecanth doesn't really work for Ghoti. Ghoti is good for Coelecanth (New 6 searches it, Paces summons it), but Coelecanth has a very awkward Lv for Ghoti
- Ghoti doesn't really work as a combo deck. It's basic Gameplan of banishing both Paces and Shif with a 6 on board to make a Lv 8 and then Deep Beyond is already pretty strong, especially when you have access to both Zep and Snopios. And the new support makes the second part much, much more achievable
- Eanoc and the Traps are not good, sadly. Eanoc is too high investment for what it does, and the Traps do very, very little, and their only searcher is Eanoc, who is to cumbersome to use for what it achieves
- I would rather play 3 Shif and 2 Paces, as Shif is better than Paces. The secondary effect of Paces might be better on Paper (a Special summon vs a temporary 500 ATK boost), but Shifs is much, much easier to activate, as it can banish itself from the GY, while Paces is like a fish on the land in the GY
- Guoglim is (sadly) not good. It's removal effect is too slow and the "de-synchro" effect never comes up
- Icejade Gymir Aegirne might be worth a consideration. It has a very nice protection effect and is also a Lv 10 WATER
- Abyss Shark isn't really needed anymore imo. It's Lv. is too awkward for Ghoti
- The new Lampfish can help you make 2 Deep Beyond in 1 Turn (A Lv 2 non-Tuner, Shif + Paces, any Lv. 4; Make Lampfish with Shif/Paces and the Lv. 2. Use the other Ghoti Tuner to make Deep Beyond. CL1 Lampfish, CL2 Deep Beyond. Then you need either Snopios and Zep, or a way to summon/banish the new Lv. 6. Make a second Deep Beyond with Zep, a Token and the Lv. 6), but aside from that it doesn't really help that much (sadly). If it were WATER though it could be made with the White Sardines, but alas
Nonetheless I am very, very happy with the support, and I hope you continue to tinker with the deck and try out different builds. Runick Ghoti is quite interesting...
@@umb3rus108 guolgim might be good to out boss monsters in a pinch, im not ready to cut him completely
@@umb3rus108I actually found a way to use 2 deep beyond’s in one turn already. What I do is have Shif, paces and Arionpos. At any point where needed, Cl1 paces or shif, then CL2 the other. Synchro into askaan, then deep beyond. Then Cl1 Arionpos target askaan to add sinopios or zeb then CL2 deep beyond. The use askaan to resummon and now you have a second deep beyond ready to fire
@@umb3rus108 Kindly refrain from getting Ghoti involved with deckout cancer.
I feel like the new lvl 2 is at least a 2 of, allows way easier access to fishlamp to get synchro climbing easier. Also comes back upon banishing to give more non tuner bodies to synchro with on your opponents turn w shif and paces
I think the lv 4 fusion even wants you to play a small spright package to more consistently get non-tunerd
@@REDDAWNproject you can actually play a small ghoti package in a spright pile to one card combo into deep beyond
Superancient fish has been one of my favorite cards of all time
I feel it's better to use the superheavy engine for now to turbo the lvl 6 synchro that basically start your deck, and can provide a clutch pend summon.
Also 3 copy of crossout are a must imho, they to so much for the deck and are never dead in hand, I'd go as far and add gold sarc for the lvl 6s and drop enoc, as you can thrust the trap turn 1 if needed and recicle through the lvl 4 banish effect.
Lastly I think the herald lvl 4 synchro could be a solid choice to make on opp turn as negate and shifter alternative, and the marincess link 4 that banish to draw each standby can be good
I like the new support because you don't necessarily have to run garnets anymore. I ran the supay engine I liked the consistency more but I personally wouldn't run the shs. Garnets suck
Los nuevos soportes ghoti y todo lo relacionado a fish tipo le ha generado mucha consistencia
S:P little fish lets go
Uau, very cool up in the deck
Just a bit of a nitpick, might be worth muting the card activation sounds in EDOPro, they were honestly a bit irritating to listen to but that may just be me. Great analysis though, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this deck in the future.
I believe the word ghoti is pronounced ‘fish’
why do i have a feeling mbt is gonna have a field day with this :)
Ready fusion is a great extender for ghoti because you can either summon rare fish or the level 2 fusion tuner
I've said this before and I'll say it again. I feel like Ghoti builds need to run Gizmek Orochi. Easy lvl 10 synchro access with minimal resources, and brings itself back at will during the opponent's turn for making Deep Beyond.
Haven't tried the new stuff, so idk if this is still true.
Why are you playing orochi in ghoti? At best it’s just winmore but it doesn’t add anything that ghoti couldn’t already do with coelacanth loops
@@gamakujira64e23actually, orochi isnt winmore at all. Orochi helps you stay in the game, helps you grind, helps your survive, and adds the potential to open up lvl10 plays when you didnt open well.
Honestly Iam digging the idea
@@Noah-hz9cx how is it not winmore, ghoti has no in-engine way of searching it, and ghoti doesn’t need help in grindy games or in level 10 synchro plays
I don’t see how that card is in anyway useful. If any of your Ghoti are banished face-down they’re dead cards so I’m confused?
Ghoti needs an stovie torbie or havnis-esque turn zero quick play and needs a scherein-esque card that can just special summon and banish from deck
The best Ghoti has in regard to that is using Snopios in hand banishing Zep as a part of the requirement. Askaan or White Aura Whale would be ideal interruption options from there.
They already have that with scnopsis. It used to only work with ruby but with these new additions that's 6 more opportunities to play turn 0
"Um actually this deck needs to be more like tear bc we didnt have enough of it"
@user-sm1bi5ix6l ah yes, completely ignore the other card that was mentioned. Ghoti is not tear, but playing on turn 0 might make it relevant. Especially since it has a pretty sizeable following in the community, it would be well received
Fish are on the rise but the one metgame mechanic they are missing is Fusion. The new Ghoti cards are looking quite solid atm.
Where is our Fusion-based archetype at?
fish fusion deck where instead of actually fusing to become one monster the monster just become a school of fish in a monster image
What they need is a card that sets the field spell from deck. If they get something like that then we're cooking.
If this deck got a link 1 that searched distant deepest depths the deck honestly goes insane mode
I am a complete Ghoti noob but can't we use sth generic like metaverse or demise of the land ?
@@virgiltank3640 No, because: The reason to use the field spell is that it has an effect that banishes a fish to search a Ghoti, which really gets your plays started. Demise and Meta aren't useful, because aside from the search, it doesn't do anything on field, making those 2 cards too slow
@@colossaldonut5190Yugioh players trying not to ask for a Link 1 monster that would instantly break an archetype (impossible)
Crossout could be a card
Yes it can negate the ashes and can target the tuners to activate its effects
I am hoping to see you do an updated gate guardian profile
Yo Jugaría un pequeño Motor Frog...
3 Swap Frog
1 Tadolly Awasome
Y un pequeño Motor Ice Barrier
1 Mirror Magic Máster of they Ice Barrier
1 Freezing Chain
Con esto Tines acceso al Nivel 6 de Forma sensilla o a Awasome en la tercera Invocación...
Es fantástico
what is the perpous for the trap? if u get stoped go thrust to set the trap to have a non tuner?
Sorry for my ignorance but,can somebody tell me what platform he is playing on? And where can I download it ? Thanks
Deck desperately needs a better normal summon and probably just a consistency spell
just a level 4 that can be treated as a tuner or non tuner because the deck is pretty much the same relying on so much random stuff like Sharqs,Abyss,White aura etc etc
Fish :)
Can't we just dump Coelacanth using lifeless and using a lv 4 extender xyz for Dugares then summon back Coelacanth ?
So from seeing this and comparing the only topping build in the ocg before the new support, personally the macro cosmos control is a lot better due to you will not lose to nibiru, horus variants, centrions, tear, any grave dependent deck and you just abuse psiccs
I still think Ghoti runick is the best version. Permanent synchro material
@@pringles6085 it was on fb a while back and saved it on my phone. The list follows:
3 paces, oxeep, snopis
2 shif, xep

2 miniruka
3 field spell deep beyond, moray of avarice
2 called by, spellbound and thrust
1 terraforming, gold sarc and prosperity
3 macro cosmos
2 imperm, ghoti chain
1 ghoti fury

3 serpent of ghoti
2 bicorn, spear, deep beyond
1 supreme sovereignty, baronne and ice jade synchro
1 salamgreat almerj, IP and SP
Been testing it out and make a few switches with the new stuff and it’s pretty consistent (replace maxx c with d shifters of course)
@@gamakujira64e23 we basically use the ocg’s top builds to reference for tcg builds since they get the cards 1st and that they treat the game better than mormons worshipping the book of mormon. I mean hell, the YCS indy rescue ace build used ratios similar/same as the OCG’s early top builds before lifter got semi’ed.
do you think that a ghoti/shark mashup is possbile?
What application is this that allows him to use cards that havent been released yet and/or are from a different format?
What dueling simulator is that?
I appreciate a lot your efforts to make this deck mega wombo combo, but why playing stuff like the sardine that locks you in water or coalacanth just to make this awesome deck become a nibiru token turbo? Where are negates? I am playing this deck since like 1 year and tried every single version, I know ghoti like a son I never had🐟. You can play tons of engines to make it more consistent, I'll analyze with you some points:
1shifter in this deck is awesome, but after 2turns you probably can't close with otk (the lv6synchro can't use his effect cause is not in gy, not much grind resources)
2you can use set rotation and necrovalley, in a meta full of tear unchained and purrely that card is autowin (if necrovalley becomes a problem you just summon baronne and pop it)
3 you can play shs engine and is freakin amazing (baronne and arc light board and more stuff, the lv6 synchro is generic)
4 crossout designator is an extender in this deck to ban tuners cause next turn their effect can be used (ofc you can add gold sarcophagus)
5 supay package is one card combo to lv6 synchro
6 assault synchron, hop ear squadron and sharnga are very nice too (imagine having lava golem and just make hop ear into baronne, or sharnga bringing to full armor master+him in gy to destroy 1 card of the opponent)
7anti-spell in side deck, like shs this deck loses to dark ruler, you play crossout and book of eclipse too cause now is meta relevant, then proceed with other personal choices
8revolution synchron package, ancient fairy to make crystal wing or amritara bringing the manadome counter trap and then combo (you can play also tuning to search for revolution or assault synchron)
9remember the old friend supay I mentioned before? duskwalker and the mask are both earth: you can make naturia barkion (that's why I prefer this package to abyss shark/assault beast/instant and ready fusion, you need space in extra deck. Abyss shark alone in hand without other fish is a brick, and you can use supay as bait to use beautunaful or directly leaffish or the opposite
10 enjoy the fish power, You will all be ghoted🐟
This are my 10 commandments, love to all❤
forgot to say there is more stuff you can cook, the new centurion legatia synchro is generic and if I'm not wrong also the new genex one, you can reach them too
oh and you can make coral anemone into zealantis, lock yourself in water and reborn only your monsters
New gate guardians deck please
To me the lv6 should be lv4, even special summoning itself It wastes too much resources, the lv2 is kinda mid but useful, the synchro is terrible It doesnt have any sinergy with the deck almost at all, despite everything i still liked It and i hope some more support in the future
It being a level 6 that requires a decent amount of recourse is the reason why it is allowed to search any Fish
If it was a level 4 it would most likely just search a Ghoti monster
@@sbevenine2055 It searches any fish but banish a fish after anyways, also its not a great deal search a fish in a card game which fishes dont do that much, i think even a lv 4 wasting a normal summon to search any fish and banish afterwards would be decent to say at least
@abraaoferreira8288 it banishes a fish in a deck that wants it's fish to be banished in a constant loop. In nearly any other deck it would be bad, but in this one it helps ensure everything is live and having multiple ways to access whatever you need. It's an amazing consistency booster. The lvl 2 being an additional interruption on the opponent's turn is also a very welcome addition for the deck that does nothing but banish on the opponent's turn.
@@spidudetoo1212 The banish is genuinely great tho
It can allow you to get cards like Peces and Shif that you might have drawn into rotation , can allow you synchro summon with Zep immediately
@@spidudetoo1212Also great to remember that it can search Zepp and banish it immediately to synchro
I think superheavy samurai might be a better engine than the white monsters
@@johnnywilson3071also airompos searches you coel, while having the shs scales to summon the boi
@@tizzano845 realistically 1 hard brick and 1 soft, no more than that. You could argue that the engine is useless after turn 1, but is not so bricky
Water hazard might be good in this deck
Ghoti desperately needs a real normal summon that makes Arionpos without an extender
Moray of greed is a good card
The fact they named the fish archetype Gothi will never not be funny. They had to have known what they did.
To summarize:
Awkward
