Ive learned so much, about sourcing, how furniture is made, products, etc., watching Sarah Richardson + Tommy Smythe - it's crazy.
almost or more than 20 years later and the design and style are still relevant yet classic and timelessly beautiful. Love Sarah.
15 years later.
@@CC-si3cr15!!!!
Sarah is not only design goals, but she's blazer goals. Her blazer style evolving over the years is fun to watch.
They’re Smythe blazers! So expensive but the tailoring on them is perfect
I cant remember wearing such teensie fitted jackets? Was that a thing in the nauties? X
@@auntylinda7640 I think it's a perennial Business Casual classic. :)
@@MzShonuff123 I always thgt Sarah's blazers were her own design bc she had so many of the same cut and style. I had no idea those blazers were from a Canadian designer. On average they start around $725 @ Nordstrom in the U.S.
@@auntylinda7640 YES! Fitted blazers were a thing! Where you been? This episode isn't from the 90s.
This is one of my favorite bedrooms that Sarah and Tommy did - so pretty!
That baby is adorable.
Holy mackerel that's an enormous bedroom!!
Love that bedroom wallpaper! Really sets the tone for everything else.
my most favorite designer of all time...spot on just about 100% of the time. I'd give her carte blanche
Totally agree
Me too! Very few designs - virtually none! - she and Tommy execute are icky. They make a great team! Hilarious team!!
Yes. Classy. Great tastes
Absolutely!!
Everything she does ( and Tommy as well!) is just amazingly beautiful!
The client basically did give her carte blanche. Even her no item, the chandelier, was reinstated into the design.
I've wanted to see Design, Inc. episodes again for years! Thank you so much for these. If you could add Dan's Kitchen (Season 1, Episode 7), I would really appreciate it.
Dan's kitchen is somewhere on You Tube; Ive seen it probably 3x. Search Sarah Richardson, Design Inc, Abode w her name.
The room is sophisticated and pretty. It wouldn’t be my choice but it’s great that the client loves it.
I’m so glad these episodes are on Abode! Thank you Abode!
Those bathroom sconces were hideous!! Well done for shoving them back in the truck 😂
Big Fan of Sarah's - Why we can't see her back on HGTV I'll never understand. I remember 15 to 18 years ago when she was doing her instructive broadcasts. I think it was called Sarah 101 design. BRING HER BACK ON HGTV
She actually has her own CZcams channel now! You should check it out!
Skip HGTV, Many of us can’t afford premium subscription of cable TV.
Can we please get more of these episodes!?! They're fantastic!
Loads on the way , Make sure you're subscribed!
@@AbodeLDS I subscribed immediately when I saw these available here... and THANK YOU Abode!!! 🤩
Beautiful
So refined and gorgeous!💛
This is still a drop-dead gorgeous room. And it demonstrates Sarah's style of timeless elegance.
Beautiful 🥰
Love it all!
Please if you could add more Design Inc episodes that would be great.
Still gorgeous and I love that wallpaper!
Luxurious transformation
I do wonder why Sarah didn’t take the wallpaper to a specialist paint mixer and just had them colour match the background.
Stunning!
I loved the side tables and the wallpaper, otherwise it was very restrained.
Side tables were too new and shiny for my taste. Some beautiful vintage or antique mismatched tables would have been much more interesting.
Paisley and asian accents! Beautiful!
Beautiful!
Absolutely gorgeous
i like people presently a good respect to the partnership not make little to the other ldy, that's why u have partner in work. should be a nice content presenting.
love abode
Love your channel 😊
Glad you enjoy it!
The ensuite was absolutely stunning, l especially liked the Mother of Pearl Framed Mirrors with those Sconces! I’ve always adored Paisley, l love the Silver-Grey colors... However, l abhorred Yellow! If it isn’t a Lemon or Flower, it shouldn’t be Yellow. For the timid person she could have gone with a Lilac/Periwinkle (Light Purple) or Peony or Blush Pink. (Light to Medium Pinks) Absolutely no, Baby, Neon or Bubblegum Pinks! For someone looking for a more dramatic effect, she could have used a Purple shade like Boysenberry or Eggplant. Shades of Pink in Fuchsia or Magenta. Although, l did like the object d’art that were chosen to be Yellow.
The Designer kept saying, “I like.” entirely too much instead of something like; “I think she would like or enjoy.” After all it’s not her Bedroom. 🤷🏻♀️
Wholeheartedly agree about the yellow and brighter pops of color over lavender or lilac. 🤮
The best
PLEASE iron the curtains and weigh them at the bottom. Wrinkled curtains bring down the room.
Missing a bench at the foot of the bed. The ottoman seems to interfere with the traffic flow between bedroom and bath.
Noo!! Noohohohoo! More cushions with buttons!! 😩😨😭
Otherwise, quite cute. 🤗
I love the wallpaper, the chandelier, the patterns on the cushion fabrics, and the pops of yellow. I think the lamps and bedside tables really are too traditional.
Beautiful but BLAND!! More color is definitely needed, but yellow would not have been my “punch” of choice😖
Brains, veins and plades....
If I were Sarah + Tommy, I would be kinda furious if my client "snuck" lighting pieces back into the mover's truck!
Wyatt's MOM'S anxiety is what disrupted the baby, not the design team. 1st-time mothers....
It’s all beautiful but how does her husband feel about all the feminine touches?
Why does she ask his opinion when she has already made up her mind to do what she wants???
Every episode!!!
Too refined and untouchable.
I think it looks traditional I I don’t I’d like it. it’s straight up traditional looking when I see it, so if she wanted more modern I think you missed the mark personally but what you did do is attractive I don’t like traditional personally so that’s what I see when I look at your roomBut hey if the client is happy that’s all that matters
I love Sarah, but this does nothing for me. Too glam and traditional and the matchy matchy yellow elements is too much
Client is Sooo difficult
Too traditional. No pizzazz or personslity of owner.
yeah but remember this was YEARS ago, she's morphed quite a bit since then!
